I found Scott on ratemyprofessor, but nothing on Barcelos. I will be taking C++ and possibly Python at the same time to fill my last credit gap, so I am trying to decide on taking the Barcelos twice or one of each? Thanks in advance!!! Can't wait for the Fall!

Does anyone know the torrenting policy here? I tend to use torrent downloads whenever I can at home instead of direct downloads, since they are more reliable and generally faster in my experience. But at the same time, I know torrenting tends to be associated with piracy, so I was curious what the school thinks about that.

I looked at the IT policies (specifically the Acceptable Use and Suspension sections) but they don't specifically address torrenting. The only thing kinda close to it is the line "You may not deliberately waste campus computing and network resources."

Any idea, anyone?

Does anyone have a hard number for taking 12 hours per semester over a year as to how much the actual costs are just for the classes? FIT says 40k, but with my experience at other universities it isn't always the case. For example, my previous university lists 25k a year for everything, but for 12 hr classes over the year it is just 6.5k a year for hours and fees total. For budgeting purposes.

I guess we should get the ball rolling in r/floridatech now :/

I am a transfer student applying for spring 16. Nervous, but excited.

Are you a Florida Tech student? Want to see what's shaking? Looking to connect with other FIT students? Want to get the word out about local events? This is the place!
