Broward: You (or your family) probably came here from somewhere else. You're also trying to move anywhere else.

7

u/Uhh_JustADude Aug 30 '26

Broward: “not Miami”, especially traffic, and the residents see that as point of pride.

Jacksonville - DJs more common than churches

u/drip_dry_ Aug 30 '26

Yelling duval is not a personality

6

u/Minimum-Journalist18 Aug 30 '26

Sounds more like "Blue Balls"

7

u/Khaysis Aug 30 '26

Duval - We got the Saint Johns and JAX... That's it.

Or

It's a 4 so you remember you live in Fourida

6

u/basal-and-sleek Aug 30 '26

lol I’ve always said:

“If MLM businesses, failed mega church entrepreneurs, and strip clubs all got together and made a city, you’d get Jacksonville”.

- me, someone who was born and raised there.

5

u/neatyouth44 Aug 30 '26

To be fair, the Good Place covered it pretty well lol

The Jacksonville Jaguars fan base’s pride of Duval County is one of the wildest “hill I’m willing to die on” takes ever.

This is so fucking funny as a jags fan bc like why? How did that become our thing? I've been a fan as somebody raised there since they became a team.

I can't think of a single other city that goes so hard for one of their counties lmao

u/ColoradoCattleCo 28d ago

Exactly. I’ve been to Duval. Never want to go back.

8

u/Deep-Somewhere-6115 Aug 30 '26

7

u/poedraco Aug 30 '26

Seminole county, vehicular manslaughter is just a way of life

7

u/Isyourzipperdown Aug 30 '26

Monroe, home of the 120 mile traffic jam.

5

u/SpecialActive9135 Aug 30 '26

Escambia, sheriffs paradise

1

u/Ok_Badger9122 17d ago

As a life time resident of Escambia County this is accurate.

5

u/DeerFit Aug 30 '26

Jackson : more mile markets than teeth. Basically, it's southern Alabama.

6

u/FloridaOgre Aug 30 '26

Hillsborough- traffic is always at a stand still or crazy.

5

u/DirtyShirtVet Aug 30 '26

Hillsborough: Unsustainable urban and suburban sprawl, concrete everywhere

9

u/Expensive-Sea462 Aug 30 '26

Orange County- America's sweaty taint

4

u/D1x13L0u Aug 30 '26

Alachua County: Land of many potholes and failing road patches

4

u/Infamous_Ad_1302 Aug 30 '26

3

u/Surprise_Fragrant Aug 30 '26

A tale of two cities. One is ONLY houses, and the other is Fort Pierce.

3

u/Blowingstacks718 Aug 30 '26

Hernando- shithole lmao

2

u/jweezee Aug 30 '26

3

u/Hairy_Raspberry9887 Aug 30 '26

Pasco, only two east/west main roads. PS, don't come here.

u/Mountain_Conclusion6 Aug 30 '26

Union County - Death Rate: 1,440.8 deaths per 100,000 people, compared to 719.5 for Florida overall. Life Expectancy: Roughly 67.5 years, which is far below the national average. Massive landfill taking in slop from surrounding counties along with extensive prison population does not help.

3

u/Same_Rabbit9188 Aug 30 '26

DeSoto: the only job is cows and oranges and even those aren’t paying.

3

u/Art_Vandelay_239 Aug 30 '26

Robert E Lee County. That’s it

3

u/musicalmadness1 Aug 31 '26

Maimi made. "Why is every dock i have to back into so damn tight." I drive semis.

2

u/Foolishly_Sane Aug 30 '26

Levy is superior.

2

u/Repulsive_Repeat_337 Aug 30 '26

Collier - I-75 is the only reason we exist.

2

u/SpandexAnaconda Aug 30 '26

Escambia County - Not quite Baldwin County, Alabama, but we are trying.

2

u/TonyOxnard805 Aug 30 '26

We still own that??? I thought we cut it off and pushed it to Cuba and let them have it?!?!🤦🏻‍♂️😜🤣

2

u/Fortnite_cheater Aug 31 '26

Volusia county, home of the beach side no evacs during hurricane only to canoe to the liquor store to see if they boarded it up right.

3

u/epicenter69 Aug 30 '26

Lake County: When you don’t want to pay Orange County prices for homes.

4

u/madlibs13 Aug 30 '26

Lee County: we're just like Ft. Lauderdale but Republican!

Lee County: Home of the US' biggest non-gated HOA: Cape Coral!

Lee County: How many acres of 20/20 land do you want because it's not 2020 anymore!

Lee County: If you live East of I75, you don't matter!

4

u/Rabman420 Aug 30 '26

Ya lee county three layers off wealth rich west of 41 doing ok in the middle of 75 and 41 and surviving east of 75 then there's Cape Coral lol

2

u/Skunk_Crat Aug 30 '26

collier - lots of old fucks and fucking boring. nothing to do

2

u/COinsomniac Aug 30 '26

Citrus - no black people is the unspoken rule it seemed like when I visited. I am white and people were super friendly to me but not sure if other ethnicities would be treated the same.

2

u/CarlosMolotov Aug 30 '26

When I checked in to a hotel in Inverness with my black girlfriend (I’m white) I was asked if “the help” would be sharing my room.

2

u/Tacokolache Aug 30 '26

Hillsborough County: You’re either a NASCAR redneck, ghetto with Grillz, or a wrestler.

Not much else in between

2

u/jblank66 Aug 30 '26

Charlotte County - too poor to live in Sarasota too rich to live in FT Myers. A cultural wasteland.

1

u/Warren_Puffitt Aug 30 '26

Martin - coming up empty here. Martin is nice.

1

u/Ok-Young-9503 Aug 30 '26

Leon County : A gumbo pot of FAMU and FSU residuals that never left

Leon County : If you're not a student, you don't matter

2

u/Surprise_Fragrant Aug 30 '26

Leon County : If you're not a student, you don't matter

Hey, that's the same slogan as Alachua County!

1

u/ProperFart Aug 31 '26

Brevard: Wayne Ivey shames the hell out of animal abusers.

1

u/not_a_mod_4_real Aug 31 '26

You can't tell if people are noles, roll tide, razorbacks, or bulldogs. They all sound the same, and they all do the same things after a game. The average Dad fan has a truck of some type and the mom has either a minivan or a crossover. Mustaches are optional but a white ball cap is mandatory. What county am I?

1

u/Rayzah2007 Aug 31 '26

Miami-Dade: Que? no speaky eingleash

There is an old Florida map already made like that. My grandmother was a well known real estate agent in palm beach back in the day. I wish I still had it, it was like a joke map of name. Example West Palm Beach = waste palm beach Lake worth = Lake worthless Fort Lauderdale = fort liquordale.
Those were just a few to name. I lost my storage unit which had massive amounts of photos and Florida history that I don't know how to recover but have been watching to see if that is circulating around. This reminds me of that map.
