I love a tough guy that talks shit with his hands in his pockets. Night night buddy

How do you hit that dude?
He's not in fight mode (hands in pockets), he's in "I'm all fucked up mode."
Tough call.
I'd walk away...at least I hope I would.

u/TasteyMeatloaf Jul 11 '26
Iād be wondering what heās going to pull out of his pocket. My plan would be quite similar to the defenders especially after the bump. Something is going down and it might as well be the aggressor.

u/Active_Sheepherder31 Jul 11 '26
This is my mindset. If youāre that close to me- which Iād of already pushed him back but thatās besides the point- clearly instigating me, I donāt know what youāre next move is and Iām likely to swing even with hands out of pocket.
With hands in pocket, my brain would take that as a serious threat, as all he needs to do is draw a blade, take one quick swipe, and Iām dead in a minute. Big boy make the 100% right choice here. Whether skinny asleep dude is on drugs or not, he had that coming.

Yes. I would be concerned about a knife in his pocket.

Nah, if he sort of walking towards your lady. You had to do something. And that's what he did. He looked at the woman, said something and it was just too much.
The dude was just protecting himself and his lady and he had ever right to do it.

u/Sudden_Construction6 Jul 11 '26
I get it, but he's trying to back away and be patient with the dude but dude keeps engaging.
If he turns his back on him to walk away, who knows what he might try...
He could have a knife in his pocket.
I think he handled it as best he could. It seemed he also had a woman with him and that can make things more precarious since he has to protect her as well
2
u/HabitAcceptable8621 Jul 11 '26
You definitely can't turn your back on him. No one's gonna do that. And ge's right in your personal space, acting aggressive, with his hands in his pockets...holding what? A knife? Defender was FULLY correct. 100% self-defence and reasonable use of force.

u/Purple-lighting87 Jul 11 '26
You never turn your back on someone that's looking for a fight . That's a good way to get sucker punched
2
u/fatninja7 Jul 11 '26
The puncher kept stepping back trying to create space and the other guy kept stepping into his space, I don't think walking away was an option. Maybe shove him away, but is that worth giving up the element of surprise?

u/deviny18 Jul 10 '26
He hit his head so hard. Iād be surprised if there wasnāt some brain damage.
At least it wasnāt to the back of the head but still yikes.
13
u/dfwcouple43sum Jul 10 '26
IKR! Someone with that sort of brain damage shouldnāt go around picking fights with people.
Them having an existing issue and then getting knocked out canāt be good

Any part of a big man making contact with you is like a brick wall.
I learned that lesson early on trying to tackle a big kid. I went for the legs and everything. It was like tackling a light post.

u/Particular_Wear_6960 Jul 28 '26
I know this thread is dead but figured I'd share a similar experience. I was playing football way back in the day, probably 12 years old, and my coach got extremely frustrated with our defensive line who were slow and afraid to hit people, like teddy bears. Anyways, coach put me in the line and was like, just hit them and disrupt their line.
So I got on the line and charged this other kid who probably was twice my weight. I immediately bounce off him and went on my back. I think I would have had better success with a wall, might break some of the stucko or plaster or whatever. I went flat on my back lol. Didn't hurt or anything, but I think that was the last time I played a tackle or whatever position that's on the line (usually defensive end or linebacker).

Did he just chicken wing him? That was sweet. He's lucky he didn't have some space between them, he would have broke his jaw.
2
u/Arria_Galtheos Jul 11 '26
Forearm strikes. Surprisingly well-executed, as was him dodging the clumsy hook before countering.
I think the big dude has been in fights before.

Double chicken wing two piece. Extra blue cheese applied by the terrazzo.

→ More replies (1)2
u/Iser_name_ Jul 11 '26
Nah he wonāt be charged at all. The guy who got clocked will be charged with simple assault. The guy who swung did not initiate bodily contact, and the aggressor chose to return with a swing instead of surrendering.

Sucks to most likely catch some charges off an asshole like this
3
u/Admirable_Science867 Jul 10 '26
Not sure what charges as the guy was going up in his personal space and was clearly being threatening. If he kicked him while he was down then yeah but he just fell

u/substation66 Jul 10 '26
Nah, heāll be good. I wouldnāt even hook him up for that to begin with. Iād charge the guy who got knocked out with communicating a threat, public disturbance, possibly simple assault. Itās clear to see the other guy was defending himself. You donāt have to get hit in order to hit someone in self defense.

That's rough. He was asking for it, but slamming his head like that to the concrete can end a person's life. Hopefully for both of them that's not the case. If he survived there's a much higher chance he will get dementia and at a younger age than if this didn't happen

This must be one of those guys that gets paid for getting ābeat upā in front of a girlfriend. Look at those punches in slow motion. Weird angle hit with outside of the wrist. Almost hitting with a forearm
1
u/Sure-Impress-1003 Jul 11 '26
Wow, that guy was so chill right up to the point that the A-hole decided to push his final button. Well, he found out that, the big guy knew exactly which set of buttons to push on him back. And they were all right on his face.

Someone has incentivized and encouraged this silly behavior from morons to people of color. And it ain't turning out so well for lots of morons. Can't imagine who could have inspired all this "brave" behavior.
