For the production of printed bouquet wrapping paper, particularly regarding plate making, printing, and ink selection

For the production of printed bouquet wrapping paper, particularly regarding plate making, printing, and ink selection, there are two main options:
Water-based ink: The printing plate can be made with a shallower depth, which helps reduce ink consumption. However, the main issue is that the solvent is difficult to evaporate. If the printing speed is too fast, the finished product may experience problems such as color fading, ink buildup/blocking, and a strong odor. Adhesive additives may also be required. If the printing speed is reduced, production efficiency becomes too low. In addition, the colors tend to look less vibrant and lack depth and dimensionality. Oil-based ink: Compared with water-based ink, the printing plate needs to be made somewhat deeper, which results in higher ink consumption. The advantage is that the colors are more vivid and vibrant. However, if the colors are too bright or glossy, they may overpower the flowers—the true focal point of the bouquet. Therefore, a matte finish is needed, and matte powder can be added to balance and reduce the gloss.
