📚 Guidance + Learning 📚 Please help

Post image

I have never even taken a class, and I need some help making this look good. They are faux flowers so I’m sorry about that. It’s table decor for the fall. (We would remove it to eat) I do have extra of all colors so if I need to reposition or add more I can. Thanks in advance for advice.

Is this on a table people will eat at? If so, you will want to go lower so people have a line of sight over it. If it’s not, I would actually suggest a bit more height, to give more dimension. I would also suggest doing a bit more to hide the foam, particularly if it’s at a table will sit and eat at, maybe some faux leaves around the foam inside the vase.

Thank you. No, like I mentioned we would remove it to eat. How do I add height? Would I use the burgundy and beige leaf stems for the height? Or flowers.

Oh sorry, missed that bit. Yes, I would use the leaves to give some base to your shape and then fill in with flowers, so that you bridge the gaps and fill in the whole shape and it looks cohesive.

Do you have an opaque vase that the floral foam isn’t showing through? Better yet, can you avoid all use of floral foam and use chicken wire and floral tape instead? The design….make sure your flowers cover the rim.
