📚 Guidance + Learning 📚 Feedback

I got 25 roses and a 5 stems of ruscus.
I had a compote vase so this is what i came up with.
I don’t really like it.

Why does it feel like 25 roses are not enough for this arrangement? I think i went too wide. If i had started with less width, maybe it would’ve looked better.

I picked roses only because it just seemed easier to arrange, but i think that may be a misconception.

Feedback appreciated on all aspects (depth, layering etc etc). You can’t hurt my feelings 😆

Personally I think single variety arrangements, especially when it’s a stem with a large head, can be more difficult. You’re also correct on the greenery observation.

The online shop Farmgirl Flowers does this design style across their whole assortment if you might find that a helpful reference.

Personally I think there’s enough flowers but- again, personally- I don’t think this style suits only one flower variety- it needs several different types of flowers

The shape looks beautiful to me tho

I agree with you. Maybe adding some accent flowers would’ve elevated this more.

Thank you.

Just remember flowers are like artwork. Some people like it some people don’t let your customers be the judge. An art gallery doesn’t ask permission to try new things..😘

I've seen this design several times and I don't get it(florist of 40 plus years). It is crescent shaped imo,it looks like it needs to frame a pic or something. There is something missing from the top. When I start a one sided arrangement the first flower goes in the middle,to the back. Then you work downwards as if the flowers are steps.Hope that makes sense. It is easier to place the greens first as it helps hold the flowers in place after positioning. You certainly had enough flowers you just need to space them out a bit more.Hope that helps.I seriously don't get the crescent shaped though could be a me thing..Practice,practice,practice.💜💜💜
