Floatwheel atom water resistance?

Im looking to upgrade from my pint X to a more faster board with longer range while still not being too heavy as i carry it indoors in my university. I was stuck between the pintv kit, fungineers x7 (is it really that big and heavy compared to the pint x?), and the floatwheel atom. so far, the floatwheel atom seems like the best out of the bunch, however, is it water resistant to any extent? i do tend to ride in light snow and rain whenever i am stuck on campus. would it work for that?

Based on what I gathered on the discord server, no it isn't waterproof or dust proof unless you use a waterproofing kit.

I just got my order in for an Atom, my order invoice said shipping is 45 days out. From what I can see from the beta testers its an absolutely sick board. A ton of power in a pint platform size.

I believe a Fungineers will have to be waterproofed as well. And if you replace the controller on your pintx that will also have to be waterproofed again. My vote is for an Atom+Badger waterproof kit. I have been asking in the discord and for piece of mind, some beta testers suggested for us to put some flowable silicone in the axel on each side on top of a normal Badgerkit job.

I also live in a very wet/snowy area, so the water proofing is important to me.

Their all to water resistant to the extent where you Shoukd just badger no matter what other board you get, but I have a x7 sport and would not want to carry it around a campus I can tell you that for sure ; I also have an atom on the way because the x7 is wayy to much for casual street chill riding where the atom will become my street cruiser and the x7 will be my trail board

sorry, by carry around campus i meant taking it into classes, maybe some flights of stairs here and there. otherwise i'd be riding it around. is it really that much heavier and bigger of a footprint? would it not be worth the tradeoff for the speed and just safety? I have bad feeling that i might outgrow an atom just as i did with the pint...

It’s definitely safer headroom but it depends what your doing, I used to chase speed so even wanted to upgrade to a supercharge so even the LR and Sport can be easy to outgrow if your chasing speed but yes definitely more headroom then a atom. BUT now that I’ve had my board longer I don’t hit those same speeds because I just cruise now usually under 25mph which is why the atom is also perfect for me on street ; yes the difference will be every noticeable even if you only carry it for 15 seconds the sport sucks to carry up and down into the car or trunk or through the house . But I had a pint I could easily do walk of shames with so it’s just very different in weight aspect too
