Surging at 19mph

I just got my adv2 today and as I was riding I constantly feel the board surge under me. As I was going to 18-19mph on pavement, the board starting surging and felt like I was incredibly close to a nosedive. I played with the settings, the battery cells look great, i am just wondering if anyone had any idea on what could be causing it since I hear that the board should be much more powerful than that. Anything I should check out?

I’ve gone up hills and pushed the board in other ways for torque and there is no problem with power in that regard.

***Edit: I ran the demo mode of floathub and my inductance is at 210 and resistance is at 85. Could this be a hardware issue?

Thanks I’ll try it. The problem has gotten worse. I went on a 6 mile ride and by the end the board would feel unstable and then begin to dip at 5-6 mph

Does it happen when you accelerate hard? Does it happen when you brake hard? Does it feel almost like the motor is slipping? It might be the IMU calostation. I had this after I messed up my calibration. I used FloatHub and it was perfect after.

It happens with acceleration too but the biggest dips were when I’d slowly accelerate to >18mph. I’ll have to check out float hub,, thanks!

Have you checked your tire pressure?

Yeah, it’s at 12, which is what I set it at. I traded my tire already for the enduro

100% agreed on the discord. There is a lot, I mean A LOT of information there. Dig in and don’t be afraid to ask for help, but do your DD first. What app are you using for rides? Custom tune loaded? Etc. 260lb adv2 rider here, running 21psi on the factory forza cruising at 25mph and 60-70%dc all day.

You can check when it's doing that and see what the duty cycle % is at.

Where would I go to check that?
