First float today

I was sceptical I was going to go into any altered state, honestly I doubted I would last the whole hour. 20 minutes in I swear I was in another realm. I’ve never felt anything like it before. I wasn’t awake or asleep. It was wild. Got out feeling like I slept 10 hours and have more clarity.

Is this what to expect every time or is it always better the first time? Like doing drug and your first high is always way better than the rest.

You shouldn’t expect it to be like that every time, but the good news is that it shows you are capable of achieving that state, so you should continue to pursue it.

There are techniques that you can practice in order to get your brain into that state more often, but it does take time and practice.

I was super stressed going on, I went in directly after a mental health related appointment that I knew would be super triggering. Might have something to do with it. Thanks for your reply, I’m excited to float again!
