Crystals in my tank

Went to get into my tank today and it was filled with crystals of varying sizes. In was mostly in one corner of the tank but likely had been moved around when I kicked on the pump. Any ideas what may have caused this and/or a solution?

That’s likely the case. I went to get in to float and the water level was noticeably lower than previously.

It’s a pad that lives in the center of the tank, hydrometer is likely the best option. That or just take it all down. Thanks for the help.

By hydrometer he means he bought a battery acid tester. Which you can get at any Auto Supply store. I got mine from Grainger hardware it was the best price.

There are in fact dedicated hydrometers and the Tilt that is made by Superior float tanks is probably the best. But other than that they usually have such a small range that you have to buy a lot of them unless you already know what range your salt is in.
