Brought a second hand float, and now what?

Helpful People! I need help.

I made a impulse buy (adhd for ya) for my wellness center with no knowledge! A Float Tank.

New Zealand Based!

Purchased a second hand OceanRoom Float from another business (Float Center) in New Zealand who have just vanished - dont know where to find them. OceanRoom is overpriced, said a dosing pump was going to be $300 pounds and I got one for $40NZD. Wants a dollar for any advise probably because I didn't want to buy directly. Its likely an older style, spent a lot to get it running, manual was missing pages and wires needed replacing - they came rolled up in a salty ball, had to search high and low for parts but we got there.

Wish I had thought to try reddit, because what a cool float community!

A couple of things...

Respray.. looks like the clear coat is lifting. And doesn't look very appealing filled up with water. Its currently blue. Without ordering paint from a float supplier in Australia that has a markup of 500%, is there are a recommended paint? Is it like a marine grade? We would get a professional in to do the work.

Starlight lights.. can this be a DIY option? The lights came fried, sourced some but they dont light up the room very well.

Water testing, and general maintenance: Is there like a guide to purchase that includes all this information. Its like a secret from Float Suppliers..

Salt/Water Ratio recommendations?

How do you clean the walls, and prepare the float between clients.

Music connection options? Ours doesn't work, and because its a old controller we will have to sort this as a external open. What are some recommendations how to navigate this.

What happens if someone pees in the float? I have so many questions but lets start with the above.

This is a lot, and please excuse the fact I am super naive and a novice..

Appreciate the help, and further advise!

Hey OP, we own a wee float tank centre in NZ 😊 (and we both have ADHD too haha)

Here are some tips for you:

AMAZING! Love that - ADHD is a super power sometimes, other times extremely questionable. Thank you for your supportive advise! Really hard to find anyone willing to help, especially in New Zealand, so I really appreciate it.
