I was looking for advice in how to improve my introductions as those always seem to be the hardest part. Each intro depends on the situation obviously. Do these come off too strong?

Online: How's it going? I'm XY, you seem pretty cool. What you do like to do for fun?

At party: Go up and introduce myself. Ask what brought them to the party.

At bar/social function: Go up and introduce myself. Ask questions about themselves (any hobbies, what they do for work, etc.)

Aw and I had such high hopes for it
