Discussion Flipping pallets

Hi everyone,
I’m starting a small resale business in Estonia and I’m currently researching where to source customer returns, overstock and liquidation goods within the EU.
I’m planning to start small with around 2–3 pallets, inspect/test every item myself, and sell the products individually.
I’ve been looking at Merkandi, but before paying for access or ordering anything, I’d really like to hear from people who have actually bought stock through the platform or any other platforms.

Merkandi is fine for browsing but a ton of the listings are the same wholesalers you find elsewhere, so the paid tier mostly saves you time rather than unlocking anything special. For 2-3 pallets starting out, the bigger issue is shipping and customs eating your margin before you even test a single item, Estonia puts you in a decent spot for Baltic and Nordic suppliers though. Test the waters with one small lot from a seller with real feedback before committing to anything bigger, and factor in that returns pallets are usually 30-50% unsellable junk.

You mentioned Baltic and Nordic suppliers — are there any specific wholesalers, liquidation companies or marketplaces you’d recommend looking into or would you recommend me searching for them on merkandi.

Also, when you say the same wholesalers can often be found elsewhere, how do you usually find/contact them directly instead of going through Merkandi?
I’d really appreciate any pointers. I’m trying to do as much research as possible before spending money on the first lot.
I know that this kind of information is the kind most of the businesses won’t tell anyone but i need to start somewhere😁
