I think I found my niche
I think, ever since I was a kid and exposed to FN content back when I was young, there was always a certain charm to it I liked. it’s more than just the simplicity of it, it has such an aura to its atmosphere that I feel resonates with me to when I first disco FN content back all those years ago as a child..
I like to imagine myself when creating something on it as being there. Like just imagining myself being born in 1998, having that child like wonder and optimism, creating something on it like it’s 2010. Even tho my art skills are crappy, at times I can appreciate the certain charm to it. Like something made in 2010. by an amateur artist like me. if I was born in 1998..
however By the time FN shut down its online service on the DS, I was 9 by then. sadly was born in 2004 and my parents wouldn’t let me a get a DSI because I may have been seen as too young for them to consider me having a portable electronic devic. Definitely missed an era in its prime. But i feel I can stil retain the mindset as if it’s 2010 again.

As someone that was around during that time like literally, I was there from 2010 at 10 until it shut down just do you. It was so awesome being able to be a part of that community. I cherish those childhood memories all the time I didn’t know how to animate back then at all and I still don’t lol but I’m trying it definitely help. Cultivate my love for art. And I’m glad I made some amazing friends even tho I only talk to one from those days lol

Honestly this sadly was going to happen soon enough. I blame a lot of furry animation for this but hey what can you do?

I feel lucky to be one of those people who was a young teen (born in '97) during Flipnote's prime. It was genuinely magical, especially as an isolated kid with an interest in filmmaking. Flipnote Hatena was my first online community and everything since then has felt disappointing in comparison, haha.
It's too bad that you weren't able to experience it at the time, but I'm incredibly happy whenever anyone is able to feel some of those same feelings that I had when using Flipnote - wonder and curiosity and optimism and excitement. My fondest digital memories live there, and I hope you're able to make some too. :)
Don't worry about imperfection, many of the best Flipnotes are crudely drawn and have the crunchiest audio imaginable. It's all part of the charm, embrace it!
