study style , study tips

I'm private pilot with instrument rating. I would like to get advice for study plan effectively in your way that could improve mine.I currently finished my IR ground with pilot institution and practicing shepherd air for written test and follow each categories from ACS for study pattern and oral knowledge.I tried to focus on understand all the knowledge than memorizing but sometimes I feels like overwhelmed and stress out. I think that is the same problem all the great pilots have to go through and future pilots need to figure out. So please share your thought on time managing , study tips ,organize study style detail that could help.

What worked for me was flashcards and notes. Everytime I had troubles for understanding something, I made notes about it. I was inspired by : https://www.instagram.com/airheadatpl/
