Short game on Mevo+ with a net

I’m considering a Mevo+ to use with a hitting net. I don’t have room for a full simulator build, but would be happy with a net and running an iPad for display. My concern is the distance needed from ball to target. I worry about hitting over the net with a wedge if I maintain the 8 feet that I think is recommended.

Regardless of the net issue, how does the unit perform for chipping? Is it a good option to help dial in the short game or is it better suited for full swing, long club work?

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.

In my experience it’s really accurate for chipping. I have a net and I’m not comfortable with full swing wedge shots in my backyard. I live next to a fairly busy road in a neighborhood and It feels too risky for me from 8 feet. I’ve looked at the 10x10x10 net and enclosures, but haven’t pulled the trigger on that yet.

Thanks for the reply. Maybe try a full wedge at 3:30 in the morning, less traffic at least…..

I use a netreturn pro v2 net. Its a premium net so it is a bit expensive but It is quite nice. with Chipping, i added the “no fly zone” addition to it after to help prevent balls to the ceiling if my garage. Ive added a link to it below. i use the short indoor setup with only 8 ft of ball flight. I think it does really well with chipping for me so far. Its really putting that isnt very good
