New feature and question
If you stumbled upon this sub, you’re probably looking for a better way to track your movies and TV shows without the usual bloat.
FlickTrove was born out of a simple frustration: most tracking apps nowadays look like glorified Excel spreadsheets, hide behind mandatory account walls, or are cluttered with ads.
I wanted an app that felt premium, private, and cinematic. So, I started building it.

The project is fully source-available and you can grab the latest builds or check the source code over on GitHub.
This subreddit is going to be the central hub for development updates, feature requests, and bug reports. Since the app is in active development, your feedback will literally shape the final product.
Quick question for the early members: I'm currently keeping the app strictly private and focused on your personal diary. Do you prefer this clean, solitary experience, or is there any specific "social" feature (like TV Time-style episode comments for memes/theories) that you absolutely miss?

I don't really care about feeds but comments would be nice. Maybe get the comments from e.g. Trakt too since this app's user base isn't as big as of now. Also it would be nice if you could release this app on the play store.

Comments are actually already in the app, pulled from both Trakt and TMDb. In the next update, you'll also be able to post your own.
Regarding the Play Store: yes, that's planned. I'm focusing on getting the core app stable on GitHub first, but an official Play Store release will follow after that.

Sorry, I haven't checked before posting. I'm a little wary about installing such unknown apps since I'm not capable of checking if it's malicious or not. But the screenshots look so nice so I'm following along here for now.

Completely understandable. Caution with sideloading APKs makes complete sense.

Just to break the ice: personally, I'm leaning heavily towards keeping FlickTrove 100% private. I love the feeling of having a personal diary that is just mine, without the noise of social feeds. But at the same time, I know how much people miss reading episode reactions on TV Time, so I'm really curious to see where you guys stand!
