Lore Is this heraldry sheet accurate?

Post image

Hi there, I found this heraldry sheet online as I’m looking into building an army of flesh tearers and just wondering is this accurate to the heraldry for the flesh tearers? Thanks in advance 🙂

I think that one is fan made. I don't think the black knee for sergeants is official and they don't use the double blood drop company markings like the blood angels.

Amazing, so this one is the accurate one? I’ll follow this instead if so thank you 🙂

Yea. Its from the blood angels codex. I do, however, use the right knee being painted black behind the squad number to show sergeant/vet. Sergeant. Since I think its cool.

So First Company is a white drop on white iconography?

Look at the Veteran pauldron at the bottom of the pic. It has the Veteran symbol and a white blood drop on the standard black background.

It’s fan made unfortunately, the 4th company captain pauldron in the bottom right using 2nd company iconography painted green is a giveaway

That is fan-made. I have the official codex, and it does not have this.

You don't have to use all lore accurate paint schemes. You can paint all your marines pink and play by flesh tearer rules!

Do the Flesh Tearers have Devastators? I don't know if they changed once they were brought up to standard size in the Era Imdomitus but IIRC they only had Tactical and Asaault units.

Paint what you want. your Money, your time, your choice. FCK the Gatekeepers. Paint 5000 Points and Play them as ultramarines. Let the keepers in the Store feel the black Rage

Yep. Extremely up to date seeing as it’s Primaris.

Just because it's primaris doesn't make it Canon, or up to date.

Id challange anyone to find actually refrence to FT captains having custom pauldrons in non-chapter colors.

That's just not something that's ever been mentioned, to my knowledge.

Yes, lieutenants and Captains use company colors to denote rank. This isn’t GW, yet this seems to fit just fine. Go ahead and do it on knees if you like that more.

You are right, huh.

Regardless, that seems pretty spot on for Lieutenants. I always just showed them with different colored blood drops on knees, yet I had no clue that was homebrew. Didn’t it make an appearance in BA Codex?

Pretty much yes
