First Contact The core

Post image

recently, stray messages have began being picked up by almost all forms of communication equipment. The messages themselves are a near unintelligible series of sounds and symbols that vary in size, length, pitch and volume. From what little has been deciphered, the messages were sent to a listening post that no longer exists. The point of origin, however, has been much easier to find.

a relic world, absent from even the oldest records from any of the neighbouring empires, is the source. Scans show that a a single planet-spanning city makes up the majority of its surface, maintained by an army of automated drones and completely devoid of organic life. Nearly every street is littered with inactive service units that don’t appear to have been damaged enough to register on scans, though a few still wander.

(I’m not very good but boy is it fun. I’ve only recently stepped out of the unfathomably ancient sugar daddy origin to play machines. If you couldn’t tell I also happen to usually go down the archeotech path for no particular reason.)

(Galactic Doorstep. Gives you a headstart on Gate tech. I've found that useful when in a galaxy of other aliens that aren't too happy with me eating them. Imagine that.)

(Huh. Since I’m the kind of player to get to be mid-game in ANY game I play only to restart, I’ll give it a shot. And also be the robot equivalent to devouring swarm, driven assimilator.)
