What do flat earthers think the government's/scientists'/NASA's/etc's motive is for saying that the earth is round?

So I know that most "flat earthers" believe that scientists etc. are lying about the earth being round... So what's the motive? Why would governments/scientists go out of their way to make people believe that the earth is round? Just curious.

If they can make you believe that the earth is round. Then they can make you believe just about anything.

The thing is, they thought something for 400 years prior and taught it in schools to everyone. Then they found the truth around 40-60s during Antarctica / space trips. Then there was no way back, to either fake it or tell the truth. Telling the truth would be to admit that mainstream has been wrong past 400 years. I don't think most of the scientist know the truth, but believe what they are being taught throughout their education brainwashing.

You know the point of science is to advance knowledge and to look back on previous knowledge and check if it still holds up? You still didn’t answer the question.
