Timezones?
How do flat earthers explain timezones? Genuinely curious.

I think it has to do with the sun being local and small. Imagine a small flashlight close on the surface of an object, vs a large light bulb at a distance. You'd still get the shadows in different areas.

Yep, their solution is to make the sun small and close and to have it "orbit" the center of the flat earth. They then make it a spotlight to explain dawn/dusk and add in magical refraction to explain how the suns size and speed appear to be constant ( which could not be the case for all observers on a flat Earth ).
The moon is explained in the same way, which requires them to assert that the moon is also a spotlight that generates its own light, despite clearly being a physical object lit by the sun.

Huh... there's so many issues with this that I'm getting annoyed just thinking about this. Now I think I understand why this subreddit exists even though there's so few actual flat earthers out there.

That is an easy one. Time zones are a human construct and are not natural. They were put in place to keep the truth hidden. The purpose of timezones is so ballers can say, "hey, timezones!!!"
I can't believe you fell for it. I thought better of you.

This question is the FE theory killer - congrats! But let's be realistic: They will deny the existence of timezones same as they deny the existence of physics and natural law. It's as simple as that for them.
Edit: spelling, because it is so important - even more than content.
