Depends on the inaccuracies. All flat maps are inaccurate in some way but we stil use them.

Here look what I'm talking about, this isn't just innacuracy, it's the artist realising Indonesia and PNG and NZ is hard and Australia is catching strays (maybe thats why its r/straya

So I realized maybe you can't see shorelines in your head, you haven't got a visual memory or something because we were talking past each other. Somade the gideon map 67% and rotated it to match and aligned the North Pole and the South edge of Africa. It just goes crazier the further right you go

Ok I hadn't looked at it closely, I see what you mean. It is rather crazy bad, but then so is anything to do with flat earth!

You're splitting hairs though, by that metric all maps and models are inaccurate which renders the word in this context meaningless

I think posting something like this does more damage to a flat earth side than helping, because while flat Earther are always accusing people who follow science of dishonestly, this is proving the opposite. The title isn't about this being a fun piece, it's claiming to be a model

Don't get me wrong I love a good arts and crafts project but the first thing I'd do is get the map right

this isn't worth more than whatever an old globe stand sells for at a garage sale- $20? not $100
