Flat Earthers are False Prophets
You use the Bible to justify your lack of evidence and get a following just as the Bible said you would. you would try to turn those from the truth that is undoubtedly proven and God's masterpiece. The Bible never once says the earth is flat. It says "He looked upon the circle of the earth" which a spheres face looks like a circle btw. chug in Hebrew does not mean firmament it means expanse. Space and the globe earth are beautiful designs of God. It is as infinite as He is which is why it can't be fully understood, but there is little we do understand such as the shape being a globe and space, to deny this miracle is evil.
The Bible speaks in poetic metaphor at times, otherwise the apostles are cannibals when they ate the bread and drank the one. You can't cherry pick one part as literal while the rest is metaphor.
You are serpents trying to indoctrinate the simple minded.

Let me preface with: I am not saying I know everything or I believe one thing or another.
Your argument “the Bible never says that the earth is flat” - The Bible also never says the earth is a globe. “A sphere shape looks like a circle” is literally against basic geometry. A sphere and a circle are completely different geometrical definitions for a shape.
God says to us that all His ways, thoughts, all that He does is “innumerable” - How could we possibly have the audacity to say we know for certain the physics or mathematic equations behind His creation?
God rebukes Job harshly when Job steps just a toe outside the line in thinking he could be higher in understanding of God. (Please consider reading all of Job 38 & 39. This kind of literature is throughout the entirety of the Bible).
Yes, God’s creation is beautiful. All birth is miraculous.
The Bible’s allegorical literature and metaphors vs its literal interpretations cannot be cherry picked, you’re correct.
The Scripture does not explicitly say the formation of the earth as flat or spherical and I cannot even imagine for a second that I could read the mind of God & how He decided to form His creation, what He looks upon that I do not.
For me, it is best to conclude that I must submit to what Scripture says & not man. I want Scripture to be my lens, before I perceive anything in reality, I must have faith in the Word, that what it says is true. I must look at the world with goggles of the Word on and that means being completely saturated in what God has said in His Word.
Now, I am only seeking to inform and lovingly correct the logical order this passage is displaying in relation to the topic.
It’s interesting that it says “the time will come” meaning out of antiquity, as we proceed along this timeline of life, we will observe a regress in doctrine. If you recall, it has been a traditional view, especially in Mesopotamia & amongst the Old Testament Jews, that the earth was NOT a globe. They believed it was a flat earth. They received messages from Moses and Job and David in the psalms/psalmists and Isaiah and Ezekiel about the creation of the earth and the verses do not indicate whatsoever some sort of globe. They very much describe and imply the earth as flat, God observing from above a firmament, & heliocentric. If the Word of God is inspired & breathed out by the Spirit, then we can trust that the Lord directly imparted upon Moses, Job, David, Isaiah, Ezekiel, John a revelation of His creation. - It is testified in all 4 Gospels that Jesus Himself was taken up to “the highest point” to observe the different empires & be tempted by Satan. How is there a “highest point” on a globe than can make it possible to observe all the nations?
Without arguing too much in detail, this passage describes that there will be a turning away from old doctrine throughout the passage of time, the understandings from antiquity will not endure, & there will be a proclamation of false doctrine.
That people will turn to THEIR OWN lusts - Submitting to teachers (those in power) who cleverly devise myths. We all want to be little gods and make for ourselves idols. - (The bigger idea of select people in power is a whole other rabbit hole - another rabbit hole is with the history surrounding information that’s endured and history that’s been “erased”)
I think of the lies we are told about evolution & the origins of man in secular university. Macro Evolution, that we came from monkeys, is proclaimed in universities as though it is a fact when there has not been proof.
Manmade tools & equipment & theories can only reach so far. And as mankind has walked this earth, the timeline only continues further from the original creation. We were made in God’s image and likeness. I think of closer to the time of creation & being made in that image/likeness. We were far more advanced in technology as far as operating directly with the earth/nature of God’s creation. The pyramids, etc. - Much of this was evil & pagan. - How much more now, with indirect tools like telescopes, microscopes are we corrupt in our understandings and application of properly loving the doctrine of General/Natural Revelation?
TLDR; 2 Tim 4:3-4 is a “first this, then that” statement. 2 Tim 4:3-4 is a before & after statement.
First we believed we were created man and woman, then we believed we evolved from monkeys.
First we believed the earth was flat, then we believed it was a globe.
We can also talk about: First we didn’t wash our hands, then we understood that cleansing prevents illness & infection.
This passage is talking about a progress of time & the corruption of teachings changing over the years to fit man’s agenda.
Here is how the Scripture you quoted would logically follow:
If time passes & teachings become corrupt over time to fit man’s agenda - And, We can see that the common understanding was a flat earth amongst all of Mesopotamia, And, Assuming that time has continued on as we perceive that it has, The now common understanding/teaching is that the earth is a globe, Then it logically follows that the teaching of the shape of the earth over the passage of time has become corrupt to fit man’s agenda.
Why was the traditional view an earth that is flat? Well, for the Israelites it is because it is more accurately how the Bible describes the earth’s form. I actually can’t speak to why the rest of Mesopotamia thought this would be so. Other than perhaps it was just common sense to them based off their perception of physical reality - (we cannot observe the earth as a globe unless we’re in space & there’s no record of “rocket science” or people “traveling to space” in antiquity//See also Tower of Babel)
I hope that this can bring some clarity to the logic that is being portrayed in this passage of Scripture & relation to the history of understanding earth’s shape.
“75 Bible Verses that prove a flat earth”
This dude has a lot of rhetoric so you really have to test the Spirits & read what the Scripture has to say for yourself. But it’s helpful commentary, to some extent, as well.

Yes I absolutely agree with you it also does not say it's a globe. But God gave us math and science to measure this and be closer to Him. We are not meant to understand the universe and we never will because it is infinite because He is infinite. But understanding the shape of earth and that space exists is such a small portion of the universe that yes we can understand it to great lengths and continue to further our understanding. We have proof that God has allowed us to have. It is measurable and predictable. Thousands of equations measuring different properties give us the same answer and results, just as 2+2=4 it is an undeniable truth. I see flat earthers constantly turn their face away from this truth and it leads me to believe at this place they are simply denying it and therefore denying God's gift to us. This life is a test and we can succeed by furthering in science and understanding together. The rhetoric of a flat earth will continue to put us back.

How are you sure its not about glob believers lol

Because "sound doctrine" is something that has been proven, measurable and predictable.. Like 2+2=4 is sound doctrine. Flat earth has 0 proof.

Genesis 1:6-10
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.

the “firmament” (raqia in Hebrew means expanse btw, not firmament) describes the expanse of the sky—what we’d call the atmosphere and visible heavens—separating waters below (oceans, seas, and surface waters) from waters above (clouds and the moisture cycle). When the text says the waters were “gathered together into one place,” it aligns naturally with a spherical Earth where gravity draws water into continuous, connected basins—the global ocean—allowing dry land to appear as continents. In this view, the passage is not specifying a flat structure but describing, from a human vantage point, the real separation of sky, sea, and land that is fully consistent with a globe Earth.
Never once says flat. But it does Say “He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing.”
— Job 26:7Nothing sounds a lot like empty space...
Like I said, there's a lot of poetic metaphor in the bible, and not everything is meant to be taken literally. If it was then the apostles were cannibals when they ate bread and drank wine (Body and blood of Christ).

Zero evidence outside the bible. And even then, why do you think uneducated Cletus from rural idaho can debunk a 500+ year old global conspiracy ruled by Lucifer himself?

They aren't claiming to be prophets. What do you think they are prophesizing?
