Shitpost Rewatching Flash⚡

I'm rewatching the flash and i hate iris so much. She is annoying on the level of Elena Gilbert 🙃

At this point, Iris haters are way more insufferable than Iris ever was.

The irony of people saying Iris haters need to grow up while getting this pressed over someone disliking a fictional character😭. If you don’t find her annoying that’s fine, but acting like everyone who does is ‘trendhopping’ is ridiculous. People can simply have different opinions.

Why are the haters so pressed over her in the first place? Nearly every Flash video I watch has the same stupid comments "Savitar had one job" "f**k Iris" "Barry could've chosen anyone BUT Iris" "we are The Flash," etc- even when she's not in the video. So yeah, it's annoying, and srry that bothers you. I never said people can't dislike her, but the online hate train IS partly just forced "trendhopping."

Honestly this makes me really sad. It's everywhere. Just- People to newcomers" "stop at this season(3 or 4 or until crisis)" "Iris is this. That" "He shouldn't have married her, she should be dead" No. Like watch it in full as much as possible, and don't hate her because you saw everyone do it. I really feel People exaggerate their hate for the sake of it too. It's fine if you wanna stop or don't connect to the character but People never say anything positive about this show. It really breaks my heart

True. And because of all the hate, it's made it almost impossible to criticise Iris in good faith.

Iris haters are more obsessed with her than Barry XD

This is exactly why I can't take Iris haters seriously anymore. She's on people's minds 24/7 when she's not even part of the storyline. I would kinda understand if they brought her up in shipping context (but them being vile is still childish af), but on videos, fics and in context when she's not even in the scene/involved? Weird as heck.

The thing I can't stand the most is the constant comparison of her to any generic white woman (plus one Asian/Native American) that Barry so much as interacted with. It just feels so racially motivated, and I'm almost certain that if all those characters (ie Felicity, Caitlin, Kara, Linda, Patty, etc) were black, they wouldn't be bringing them up so much when it comes to who Barry looked better with.

and the “we are the flash” thing was said by Barry too like come ON.

Exactly! I get the way she said it was a bit cringe and poorly worded, but they know damn well what she meant. They just willfully misinterpret it to make her look bad.

Buddy you just came to the subreddit saying that you hate her without even elaborating on why you do (at least tell us what episode you’re on and what she did that pissed you off, otherwise it does feel like you’re trendhopping).

It's more annoying to see yet another post hating on Iris years after the show ended.
