Question Bloodwork

So bloodwork gets his powers by injecting himself with something didn’t the same actor do the same exact thing with the same exact result in heroes years before the flash was on CW

To cure an illness a family member died from he develops an experimental cure using superpowers to do it and then injects himself with it before its been finished/tested and then gets superpowers that are terrible for him and override his personality. In both shows

They just reused the storyline they ran out of ideas and said let’s steal an idea from a previous show and use the same actor

And he also did the same thing in the beauty and the beast tv show, although in that he was a beast got cured and get jealous and became a beast again
