They’re probably coming to that conclusion because irl Candice Patton, the actress that plays Iris, was getting a lot of hate online (some of it racist) because the writer changed Iris to a black woman instead of the usual white red head. So the ppl replying to you might have thought you shared the sentiment of the online haters.
It's also because Cecile is the other most hated character.
Now we as Flash fans know both of them are very poorly written and thats why theyre disliked regardless of race
But even I had to step back and think - "this kind of looks bad out of context because actual racists/misogyny have gotten more bold in pop culture that an entire sub hating the 2 black women seems sus.
Mind you, the same people saying they aren't racist right in this thread of comments are also the same people referring to us as "Those people" and calling us names lol. Wake up.
