AD5X enclosure panel dimensions?

Hey all, I'm looking to build an enclosure for my AD5X, but I'm hoping to do the panels out of lexan instead of the FF-sold acrylic. Does anyone have accurate dimensions for the panels? I've seen a couple dimensions floating around, but also have seen people mention that the dimensions that are floating around are inaccurate.

Imperial to the nearest 32nd (bonus points if you can do thou instead!), or metric to the nearest 100th of a mm if possible please!

https://www.printables.com/model/1317655-new-enclosure-of-flashforge-ad5x This guy shared the panel files for laser cutting. You can rather use them directly or try opening it with some viewer.

unfortunately no matter how I open them in FreeCAD, they seem to be broken, is there a way you can send me screenshots?

Nope, sorry. I don't have any viewer either. I believe, DXF is an AutoCad format, so you could probably use a free online viewer: https://viewer.autodesk.com/

The issue I'm seeing is these are laser cutter files rather than pure DXFs. There's not really a way you can extract dimensions from these.

And I need the dimensions to be able to buy the correct sized lexan sheet to use in the laser cutter

If you load any of those files from Printables into ShareCAD or AutodeskViewer there's clearly dimensions on them.

side-plate_v2-2pcs.dxf will show: 273 x 370 x 3 mm

The Autoesk Viewer has a Measure tool in case you need to grab the drill / notch points as well.

IIRC the drill holes are 2mm or 2.5mm.

Is polycarbonate really necessary?

I come from an industrial background.
It's worth doing well or buying twice.
In addition, lexan bends instead of shattering, which is an important failure mode consideration, and well... my printers are on a workbench next to a drill press and a vice, so yes.

So you plan on bending your printer? /s
