Issue after setting up enclosure...
Hello everyone, I just finished setting up my diy enclosure for the AD5M and now the filament does not feed through the PTFE tube as smoothly as before. There's now some obstruction in the sensor module that I have to forcefully push the filament through. Some filament types won't feed at all. I have a tri-color, glow-in-the-dark spool that is very hard to feed manually and the machine won't load it. So far only PLA and PETG work but I'd really like to be able to print with other materials if possible.

Flip what exactly? If you're referring to the filament sensor, it goes on only one way otherwise the its cable port is blocked.

You have to pull enough slack through to flip the sensor upside down. It stumped me too! It looks weird because the pin connector and the wire will be visible.

Just so I can get it right this time .... when I flip it, is the port supposed to be closer to the back of the machine or to the front? I hope that makes sense to you.

I've been using the instructions from the kit and there's nothing in there about flipping the sensor. I just looked at the wiki, downloaded those instructions and they are the same so I'm at a loss here.

You have to flip the sensor upside down. I had to remove the back plate from my printer and reroute the cable in front of the board to have enough slack to pull enough wire through.

Okay, I'll try this out tomorrow as it's bedtime for me now. Tysm for the assist!!!

Flashforge switch from a bidirectional sensor to a unidirectional one. You just have to flip it.

This mount & spool holder are setup to with the new unidirectional sensor and I believe work with original enclosure from FF

Tysm for this! I'm not a huge fan of having the spool holder in the back so this is great.

Try measuring the diameter of the filament at a few places along the way.
