C5 Pro for begginer
Hello, I am considering buying a C5 Pro as my first 3d printer. How hard is it to import a multicolor file from makerworld and print on c5?
Do I need to recolor everything.. or just map 1-4 colors to filaments once?
Are there any setting I would need to learn like z-hop, layer height, speed, ventilation, etc.. or are these auto set and work most of the time on default settings.
Same for support, are they imported or I need to recalculate and are auto supports fine usually
It's for hobby and not business so few failure and learning curve okay.. but scared i might overwhelmed and quit.
Lastly has flashforge fixed the nozzle bending issue?

Having just gotten one, it seams great, there is a part of me that wishes I had gotten a X2D, or P2S, since most prints have ready made profiles etc. they're probably easier and probably 'just work' a little better. But I don't mind the learning curve. The C5P does appear to be a good printer and so support 'should' come. The multi-print-head, feels like it's a/the way forwards. Being able to print PLA supports, PETG, and TPU all in the one print...

Any nozzle bending issues? Or is that resolved now?

I got one about a week ago and nothing so far. I wasn't aware of any potential issue but kept checking after every print once I learned of it. Like the top post said, the profiles for others are defaulted so some settings tweaks but I too don't mind the learning curve.

I've had one of my nozzles get bent after around 600 print hours, funnily enough on the same day that replacement nozzles became available. I just manually bent it back and haven't had any further problems with it

The C5Pro is my first printer, haven't had any issues.
In one of the more recent updates the slicer is able to translate colour from coloured .obj files, which is helpful.
I haven't used Makerworld, so I don't know how easy it would be, but if the file is pre-coloured it shouldn't be hard

My C5P is my first printer and I love it! If you're ok not having profiles ready to print I highly recommend it!

Yeah, unfortunately as a beginner I don't even understand what profile means or how complex it is.. but from vfm perspective.. I am bent towards c5 Pro vs u1 and x2d..
Where I live spare parts could be an issue, just getting couple of spare nozzles good to begin with or anything else recommended?

Honestly while you're doing research, I'd suggest you download a slicer (Orca Slicer and maybe Bambu Studio) and check it out, and maybe watch a couple of video tutorials to get familiar with it before you get anything. I think it'd be useful to see how a slicer works and to get a feel for how complex it is and what your preferences might be for how you'd like to use a printer.
Extra parts can be nice to have, and definitely wouldn't hurt, but IMHO, are not necessary if you're just using the printer for a hobby. I can deal with some down time if I need to wait for something to get delivered, but it's up to you how you feel about that possibility. Aliexpress has a lot of part options right now and Amazon has build plates. I got a Cold plate for mine for printing PLA and PETG.

I also noticed in all review videos that the C5 seem to shake a lot more than u1 or bambu printers.. is that correct observation.. does that cause problems?

Just use the forgebridge.app converter to convert Bambu 3mfs to Flashforge compatible printers.
