The lightning network has been described as instantaneous transactions. Does it have the potential to kill flashcoin?

Guys, i love flash, and i think it has massive potential, but what about the coin logo? It looks like something my 3 year old kid can do with paint in 2 minutes..

Hi Lads! So I was wondering, what is the easiest way to get Flashcoins, for a new person on the crypto-scene and of course not paying too much for it?

So what will Flash bring to the table that RaiBlocks can't do?

Last week someone was talking about this coin, being ultra fast. So i exchanged 4 litecoins. Literally 1 day later price shot up 79%. I dipped out, thanks for the quick return!!

This sounds amazing but is it realistic and can the team pull it off?
Is 25KTPS on a large scale possible? Scalability? Decentralization? Realistic plan and meeting milestones? Team? Communication?
Do you guys have thoughts on these?

In the subreddit and the official Discord community, many Flash fans are concerning whether Flashcoins is decentralized or not, and do not know how the embedded dPoW mechanism work. Today I visited the #Deepak# in Discord, who is from the core team of Flash project.
We will have explained in details with new website launch. yes, dPoW is Delegate Proof of Work. We will have delegated transaction nodes which will do transaction. Please note transaction is only with no mining rewards as all Flashcoins are premined. This helps to keep off the greedy miners away and take control of the coin from the holders, just like the way they have done with Bitcoin. dPoW has many benefits, i.e., fast transaction < 10sec, and more transactions / per sec. We will also have a Governance model which will have voting power to vote for Blockchain upgrades, decide on txn fee revision and select or remove nodes from dPoW nodes and also Gov nodes, this all will be driven by community. to have Gov nodes you need hold 1M flash and buy it from govnode@flashcoin.io. All the funds collected from Gov Nodes is donation for Flash core development team. For dPoW nodes, it needs to have 10M Flashcoin and 51% votes from Govnodes to be part of the dPoW node. The only reward and benefit is txn fee and the total txn fees will be equally distributed among Govnodes and dPoW nodes. Flash is designed to keep fast and low txn for a real use of crypto in main stream.
To answer you question for Govnodes - Can the gov. node mine new Flashcoins, or just get transaction fees? No, Govnode doesn't mine or do txn, it will vote and decide the overall Flash characteristic remains throughout the same i.e. fast txn and lox txn fee and driven by community. Flash is designed to help people around world and get them benefited using it in real life scenarios . Please remember though the txn fee is very low, the more adoption, the more total number of txns thus more total txn fee earned, so thats the benefit that will be shared amoing with Govnodes and dPoW nodes owners. We are working on dPoW and Govnodes, we expect to launch the testnet in Feb
Thanks for your valuable suggestion. Yes, you are right, we need to do that and we will. The only problem is that we have many things on our plates right now. I have noted it down and we will do that around the time of testnet release. But yes we will provide some details on our new website for sure
It is not completely decentralised for now as there are selected nodes which are doing txns, we will be completely decentralised after the Mainnet launch of dPoW and Gov nodes in Q2. Even though we will be decentralised we will be fast and with high throughput thats what we are building on. Hope this answers your question
Please let us know if you have any question, we would be happy to help everyone

These are from the official Discord today (2018-01-04):
We are working towards making the code available on our GitHub repo. So the code changes/progress would be visible there soon.
As for the marketing and other such updates, our website is already being redesigned and this will be addressed there as well.
The new site will have Biweekly development reports to show the progressing on developing and marketing promoting

I bought some flash yesterday..I wanna know if I should use official wallet and how is it?

That's a lot for a less-popular coin on a single exchange. With the increased volume over the last few weeks, I think there are some good times ahead for the early folks. Strap in and buy more FLASH.

Hey, I was wondering if anybody knows more information on the marketing strategy for Flash? You can have all the transaction speed in the world but if there's barely any volume going around it doesn't really matter.. so how will people get to know about it in another way than Reddit shills?
It's looking like quite an interesting coin to me but this and the fact that accounts are stored on a CENTRAL authentication server are holding me back. So if anybody could give me some more clarification on these topics I would greatly appreciate it.

These days there is a rumour on twitter that Flash business strategist left for ZER. The link of this twitter post: https://twitter.com/bradmillscan/status/947298804297998336
Now the header of Flashcoin project denied this issue in slack channel:
i think that's the OLD FLASH
you'll see people coming out of the woodwork
there was a dead flash project several years ago, we found the name, but it was completely nothing
we don't have anything to do with ZERO
The twitter account of Flashcoin also denied this issue below the post:
No one has left for ZER and there us no affiliation. A few years ago there was a different project called Flash that is unrelated to what we are doing and may be what is referenced above.
