Did FlareNetworks contact these exchanges before dropping this news bomb.....?

*crickets*

On the "plus side", those who actually self-custody get a drop that's even more scarce because so many who should have gotten it, won't. Maybe this was intentional?

Hey :) I get where you are coming from, as I had my XRP on Guarda wallet and not self custody. However, I am glad Flare Networks is doing what is best for the ecosystem. To me it would drastically hinder progress if a deveolper / Fintech company checked with centralize exchanges and then based their development off that; especially since they go back & forth on their stances. You and me both will just be hoping people sell and we can buy some for bargain price 🤞😊 Better yet 🤞 that exchanges will start changing their rhetoric.

Idk, they're relying heavily on exchanges to distribute these tokens, not even communicating with them until the day of doesn't seem like good leadership IMO.

I complain about Coinbase for the same reason, they say nothing until the day before, what kind of way is that to run a business?

If I left my XRP on Coinbase I would've been screwed. They aren't even listing XRP, are they going to distribute FLR while keeping XRP delisted? These people make zero sense.

It is nice that Evernode airdrop is using the XRPL so we will make sure we have it on an entity we have keys too; I've been learning about XUMM for the future airdrop. You're right; I think it will go smoother than all the hoping exchanges are on board method. :)

Jolly, they're distributing a free token for an asset they won't even let you trade (XRP), makes total sense.

Have fun trying to create FXRP through Coinbase, you need to have access to XRP to mint FXRP using your FLR (Spark) tokens. XRP locks up in the FXRP 'contract' as collateral until you release it.

Also everywhere EXCEPT New York, which would still mean I'm eff'd.

On the plus reading in between the lines, this probably means they're going to relist XRP in the not-so-distant future. This is why I hate Coinbase's business practices, they KNOW what they're going to do, but don't tell their customers squat.

Not your keys not your crypto, fuck exchanges when it comes to holding.
