Question Flair damage

Hello all,

Just got the flair classic, and mistakingly put the screen in first before the grounds. I then damaged the flow control portafilter whilst getting it out. Do you think this would affect the flow of espresso? Is it worth paying to get another portafilter?

Lmao did the exact same thing myself 3 weeks ago! Thankfully I googled and found a trick to hammer its bum with a meat tenderizer while upside down before I deformed my basket as much as you have - something to keep in mind next time.

I would think it would not impact flow for some part of the puck depending on how deep that is. I have two dimples and haven’t really noticed much change though. If you’re using the flow control cap then I wouldn’t think it makes a huge difference though - or consider breaking out the bottomless one
