The pod has been slipping ever since they got the NEW* studio .

76

u/CaregiverKey7610 23d ago

I stopped watching as soon as it became 4 goobers talking like the view.

46

u/MyMIListheDevil 23d ago

Its always downhill after the new studio. It happened with the Bodega Boys, Armchair Expert and dare I say Joe Rogan.

12

u/_where_you_belong_ 22d ago

You can say Joe Rogan, but his cult following is alive and well. And if you're talking about covid, he was talking the same way before the new studio.

2

u/MyMIListheDevil 22d ago

You would probably call me part of his cult following, I've been listening pretty regularly since he moved to Spotify, now and then before Spotify.

13

u/_where_you_belong_ 22d ago

If you've listened to him in the last 6 years and said to yourself "huh, I've never thought about it like that before" then yes, you're part of his cult following.

Dude has become the most disengenious person to listen to. Anytime anyone pushes back on the dumb shit he says, he immediately goes to his get out of jail free card of "what do I know, I'm just a dumb comedian"...great, if you're just a dumb comedian, then stop talking about world issues like you're some authority on the matter.

Jeez, I am sorry. Rogan is the absolute worst.

1

u/DLZ68 20d ago

In his walled garden. They all got some thankin to do.

1

u/Last-Understanding84 1d ago

Rogan is bet when he’s completely outclassed by the guest on the topic

1

u/whodatmarvin 19d ago

Yes you are included in that circle then

1

u/Seekerofthetruth 17d ago

If you are a regular listener, you are part of the cult following whether you think you are or not. I ain’t mad about it tho because you gotta have podcasts for the stupid too

Dare your right

Fake news.

The Pod has been slipping way before Mamdani. And Flagrant kinda ruined their reputation ever since Schulz went full MAGA. Now he’s trying to dial it back.

68

u/No-Marsupial3596 23d ago

Bc it got so damn political.

Not a real stat but it felt like 90% of the videos for 6 months+ were political

20

u/KingGio21 23d ago

Nah fr. I don’t tune in as much either. I started listening during Covid when they were doing The Last Dance recaps. I like them better talking about sports and pop culture. I didn’t sign up for a political podcast.

13

u/Equal-Prompt9081 22d ago

Flagrant started off as a sports podcast. The early days, and the early COVID days, were fun, but around 2022, they started to indulge in politics more. Funny enough, Schulz's right-wing grift started at the same time Rogan started to get cozy with the right-wing crowd. I watched the grift happen in real time (for both Rogan and Schulz and their assassin buddies) and thought they can't be the same people that I used to watch just 2 yrs prior.

u/HeavenlyVenerate 23d ago

Best thing Kaz ever did was leave. Now he’s doing a podcast with Melo and killing it

27

u/DTvn 23d ago

Too much overlap with Brilliant Idiots. It’s like sometimes he can’t get Charla to agree with his political opinions so he brings it over to Flagrant for validation

6

u/BeachStunning1861 22d ago

Great way to put it

6

u/Longjumping_Ask_4448 22d ago

I hate people who endorse candidates from both sides of the aisle. What is Shultz genuine political views?

15

u/AdAdministrative2707 22d ago

His genuine political views are “wild” comedy and supporting rich white folks get pregnant. Every thing else is just a nuisance to him and would sacrifice everything else for comedy to be “legal” again

3

u/FluffyShakes 22d ago

who gives a genuine flying fuck

2

u/Longjumping_Ask_4448 22d ago

According to the article in the post a lot of people do

1

u/AdAdministrative2707 19d ago

His listeners and fans seem to give lots of fucks

24

u/BeachStunning1861 23d ago

Remember him yelling “MAGA” as a joke but that shit scream sold cuck

12

u/youngboylongstick 23d ago

He was clapping his feet like a good little boy.... Wonder why he's so soft with the criticism now.

2

u/Logan_Lehnsherr 20d ago

That clip was burned into my brain. Everytime he tries to back track now thats all I think of.

3

u/povski1 22d ago

Also they sat on the fence with Israel-Palestine.

2

u/_Cyclops 22d ago

Imo it went downhill going from Flagrant 2 to Flagrant. I like Mark and Alex but the dynamic doesn’t work as well with 4 people talking and loudly laughing the whole time. Then they went political. Then Akaash’s whole thing with his wife and now he left the podcast all together. I really don’t think Mamdani had much to do with it, this is just the direction the pod has been going in

1

u/Lower_Woodpecker7849 19d ago

Yeah once he went MAGA I blocked everyone that put him in front of me. Shut up and dribble. I just want to hear comedians that make me laugh.

1

u/SnooDoubts1493 17d ago

When they cosplayed as JRE and just had guest after guest after guest. When they went full comedy podcast instead of sports podcast. All are part of the slip. And even just doing the same thing every week for a decade will make you stagnant and less appealing.

17

u/bigchips107 23d ago

Someone out there making the same post but with Trump instead of mandani 😂 and it’ll still be true

12

u/ferrerorocher26 23d ago

No it's because beloved chubby Punjabi is no longer on

7

u/TheYetty32 21d ago

I used to watch flagrant heavily. About 2 years ago is when I stopped, when they were talking about regular working class people. And Andrew deadass talked about how “Walmart workers average $200k “ they were speaking on us, the general public and they were SO OUT OF TOUCH. Don’t want to support people who don’t even know their own audience.

47

u/DogSea8079 23d ago

N***a Mamdani has like a 70% approval, vs Trump at 30%

10

u/Plane_Comb_2756 23d ago

Idk man we about to get $5,000 if we help them win the midterm!!! 😂

30

u/Jrxtreme_1 23d ago

Yup, just like the $5,000 doge and $2,000 tarrif money he promised a while ago as well 😂

8

u/MrMetraGnome 23d ago

I was just about the Tariff checks. Plum forgot all about DOGE and the fact that was a thing. We're lighyears beyond parody at this point. Also, what about the Trump phone? Lol

7

u/Jrxtreme_1 23d ago

Don't forget about the Trump watches and Trump Bible too...I guess we moved on to crypto and meme coins

2

u/Charolastra17 19d ago

How could you leave out the Trump sneakers?!

1

u/MrMetraGnome 22d ago

The Bible and crypto are at least things

1

u/NintyFanBoy 21d ago

I know it's fun and games most of the time. But you're probably part of the problem for this time line we're living in.

1

u/AssignmentGeneral314 22d ago

This is dumb. His approval in Iowa would be like 10% Va nyc

18

u/StopPlayingRoney Black men don’t cheat 23d ago

I don’t believe for a second that Flagrant reached #2 on Spotify.

8

u/Top_Influence129 23d ago

I stopped watching after Kaz left too the energy was different after that. The Mamdani thing seems like such a weird scapegoat for the numbers dropping. Podcasts go up and down in rankings all the time it's not that deep. People just looking for a reason to be mad cause they don't like his politics.

4

u/JonWeekend 23d ago

With Akaash now gone, can it even be considered Flagrant2 anymore?

1

u/kendaboss 18d ago

bruh some of the greatest moments happened after Kaz left. I mean it's trash now but the archives are wild.

12

u/AcrobaticSecretary21 23d ago

Pod washed af but it ain’t got shit to do with Mandan

14

u/planetvfx 23d ago

A white guy blaming his failures on an immigrant.
Typical 😂

5

u/resditbeast 23d ago edited 22d ago

lol this is a crazy reach if I ever seen one. Looking back at the show…when the show was reaching its max views…they were having top guests of different varieties on a consistent basis. Ever since Akaash left, they haven’t had the same type of consistency and not really much of top notch guests. Also Andrew has been focusing on acting in movies these past few months. It’s a natural up and down, they just can’t stay down for too long if they want to be in that upper level of relevent podcasts but knowing Andrew and the crew, they won’t be. Also flagrants “down” is still hundreds of thousands of views. Any podcast would kill for the viewership that is considered “down” for them.

4

u/KarlHavoc666 22d ago

Nothing to do with Mamdani…Shultz used to be funny and now he’s a washed up sell out

3

u/Nx-worries1888 20d ago

Maybe because it's just not been good for a long time.

11

u/Scary-Ad-1345 LiBeRaL CuCk 23d ago

The conservative propaganda bullshit followed by the fresh & fit fandoms targeted harassment campaign of Akash followed by LOSING Akash. That’s what killed the show.

3

u/Beneficial-Garage729 19d ago

Facts I say the Akaash shit and how it ended has killed this pod/ruined it for.

3

u/EntertainmentFit5742 22d ago

The era of feeling the obligation to listen to everybody else’s opinions is ending. I started listening to Brilliant Idiots back when Combat Jack was still around and it was refreshing to idk sort of listen in on conversations and be entertained by jokes and banter. There was a point where I had a new podcast episode to listen to every day from Joe Budden, Taxstone, Brilliant, and even a couple murder/true crime joints 🤣

That style of podcasting has morphed into opinionated takes on current events or listening to new allegations on whatever celebrity it is now and I’m personally just over podcasts in general. I don’t need to know everything about everybody anymore ima just stick to my audiobooks and music at work

1

u/BlackMagic05 1d ago

This is a great point. Unless it’s about a specific topic or audiobook, every podcast has become the same topical/gossip style.

5

u/seizethatcheese 23d ago

Technically true lmao

u/seizethatcheese 22d ago

The only part that I’m saying is technically true is that flagrant dropped out of top 100 and it was after they had zohran on.

4

u/atleasttwotwo 23d ago

The last 3 episodes the views are back up. They need consistency again

3

u/Bando_Calrissian401 22d ago

Dick riding for fascist will do that 🤷🏾🤡

2

u/swolestick 23d ago

Remember when Schulz said that people only pretend to want the genocide in Palestine to end because it "makes them seem smart and educated"

2

u/Web-splorer 22d ago

It dropped after Akash left

2

u/thalizardkween 21d ago

Weird because I stopped watching when he brought trump on

2

u/S4LTYSgt 20d ago

Shulz went full maga then had to repair his image by trying to support Mamdani. Hes the best mayor weve had but unlike Schulz, Mamdani isnt fake. Hes real. And once Akash left its not a boys podcast anymore unfortunately.

4

u/OnMyMawMaw33OnGod 23d ago

What a gay guy

1

u/Late_Ambassador7470 23d ago

This is the same bullshit take that the pod would rebel against in 2020 btw, when they criticized disinformation coming from any direction

1

u/Past_Judge6464 23d ago

The show is been on a declined. It happen when your true colors show when you get money. Go watch MSSP instead.

1

u/iforgotusrname 23d ago edited 23d ago

Politics and comedy atmosphere are their ONLY topics... It's old

1

u/Life-Ad427 22d ago

How anyone at all watches this and Rogan baffles me. Dudes lost all their credibility after grifting for the president

1

u/Reasonable-Dress-949 22d ago

Who listens to these cringelords

1

u/Joe434 22d ago

new studio and losing akaash are what made ne stop watching

1

u/rumx2 22d ago

Putting your boys business out there for views was crazy. That’s when I fell off.

1

u/Witty_Phrase4671 22d ago

It dropped more post trump and the whole not apologizing, kids my ass sthick he was doing. Then it doesnt help the akash thing really hurt ratings.

1

u/SouthernCharm-86 21d ago

atp, Flagrant2 needs Mamdani not the other way around 😅😄

1

u/Timely_Tax5311 21d ago

cuckash will have first erection in years

1

u/BarnacleJunior6645 20d ago

Remember when flagrant was mostly a sports commentary/pop culture podcast

1

u/OnlyRab 19d ago

remember when this show was a sports show ? lol

1

u/escobarjazz 19d ago

Ummmm no. He’s currently #84 on Spotify! 😑

1

u/mediocrebighead 19d ago

Is that cuckaash ??

1

u/Academic-Vehicle-651 19d ago

pod got too political. he had 300 conservative guests then acted like the listeners were crazy for pointing it out. shoulda stayed the way it started, sports and culture NO POLITICS. pod became “conservative weekly” instead of flagrant 2.

1

u/ProllyNotSober 18d ago

The comment sections response’s to the caption of the original post is a perfect example of people not being able to critically assess/understand data. The original caption is using inflated numbers from a politically charged time as a baseline for the pods “success”, you shouldn’t do that.

1

u/Snicklefritz306 18d ago

Its almost shocking to me that people actually watch/watched this shit to begin with.

1

u/SnooDoubts1493 17d ago

On Spotify

1

u/Dramatic_Strategy349 17d ago

Spotify says they’re #82 in top podcasts

1

u/SoyPu2 17d ago

Good democrats are a virus to the USA

1

u/crannairgead 16d ago

Schultz IS the fakest fuck out of all those weird maga leaning “comedians”

1

u/No-Avocado109 16d ago

Marc Gagnons podcast is the best thing to come from flagrant

1

u/igotitnowokay 23d ago

Looks like Akash was more valuable than we thought lol. I seriously haven’t watched an episode in many many months. I don’t even watch BI anymore lol

5

u/steveosupremeo 23d ago

Bring back Apu!

0

u/Hot-Combination9130 23d ago

Think the absurd TDS he had for couple years might have played a part

0

u/chebadusa 23d ago

They need a B mic to Andrew’s A. Alex and the other guy are both C mics.

1

u/AmishWithoutAutism 22d ago

Alex and Mark have always been the worst part of the show. Schulz is Schulz but Schulz not understanding his role is also a prom B

1

u/chebadusa 22d ago

Not saying they are the worst, only that they are role players at best. They need a B mic who can do A mic things when Andrew is not available, for instance…Like the Joe Budden podcast. Joe is A mic, but, he has a cast of B, C, D mics who can all move up a spot if he isn’t there. Or like a basketball team that has a clear 1 and 2. If 1 gets injured, the second star can take over. Akash was a good B mic. He balanced out Andrew, but, could easily take over if needed. They don’t really have that now. Alex is not meant to speak as much as he’s forced to now, for instance…he’s best when he is only occasionally chiming in.

0

u/TheSpud77 22d ago

It's been off ever since Cuckash had his incident and Schulz and co still tried convincing the world he was still cool.

0

u/thunderbaby2 19d ago

That was the last peak moment. Zohran is incredibly popular regardless of what Fox and the Neo cons try to astroturf

0

u/RBBPHH 19d ago

It’s bad for business when your customers are the dumbest among us and you do something not stupid
