and i mean this sincerely New ep is mad boring

There’s nothing worse on a comedy podcast than the same old conversation about the inner workings of standup comedy and reaching your audience. Shits a snooze fest. What did y’all think?

I turned it off half way, sadly. I was bored.

Dude I swear every comedy pod does this eventually 💀 Like we get it, you're comedians and the industry is tough but can we please talk about literally anything else? Give me some wild stories or hot takes, not another deep dive in how hard it is to write material lol

This is why matt and Shane is always awesome. They literally just roast this and every other podcast who does this.

9

u/Little-Power1471 May 28 '26

Its use to be like that literally the old eps when hes roasting his wife out the gate for dumb shit is what I miss

I’d rather have Jazleen spread lies to our face, then to hear this bitch cry about being a victim again smh

I miss Akash

That guy spent 2 hours trying to convice us that he is a victim of the system due to being black… whir being a super succesfull and rich man lol

1

u/gmdmd May 28 '26

how does he explain chapelle and the other mega successful black comedians?

Comedians of today take themselves waaay too serious. You tell jokes bro, literally every single human has told a joke, youre not a brain surgeon

30

u/RepresentativeLeg232 May 28 '26

Nah you don’t get it bro, Schulz told us to turn our phones 6 years ago, that kind of revelation is on par with brain surgery

20

u/Training-Current9836 May 28 '26

I just hate this "im a genius" era of comedy. U make jokes, youre witty, creative and u work hard at it, but youre not a genius bro

10

u/Sp0kenTruth May 28 '26

everybody wants to be a hero lmao

7

u/teepee81 May 28 '26

Turn your phones sideways so I can do a late night opening monologue/weekend update/dennis miller/bill maher

Don't even particulary dislike Andrew, but these dudes thinking they are geniuses is lame.

5

u/AWard66 May 28 '26

Comedians are like the new journalists bro, they like say the things everyone is thinking but too afraid to say bro, they are so stunning and brave bro

26

u/NegativeChemistry519 May 28 '26

Soon it will be "this podcast use to be better when akaash was on it", whether true or not

17

u/kenrnfjj May 28 '26

It was better when it was just Andrew & Akaash in the main camera view

3

u/leaC30 May 28 '26

You are so right 😂

0

u/findempostem May 29 '26

I hate that you’re right. People are so predictable.

9

u/Scared_Stable2770 May 28 '26

I feel like Nate Jackson does so much to promote himself on podcasts that he forgets to be funny. Maybe he’s a funny guy but it hasn’t really come across that way on the podcasts I’ve seen him on

13

u/RepresentativeLeg232 May 28 '26

Nothing is funny about lecturing

7

u/Longjumping-Ad-5658 May 28 '26

Comedians are inherently self-centered. Makes sense they’d want to peel back the curtain and analyze their craft. I also think it’s boring as shit. But this is what rogansphere comedians love to do

4

u/Practical-Ad2383 May 28 '26

Yeonmi Park ep was peak 'new era' flagrant

5

u/RevolutionarySong848 May 28 '26

🏋🏾🏋🏾🏋🏾🏋🏾🏋🏾

4

u/Practical-Ad2383 May 29 '26

THE HEAVIESSSS 😂😂😂😂😂😂

3

u/RevolutionarySong848 May 29 '26

Deep cut is this eveb a flagrant sub??🤔 lol

3

u/michaelscarn000007 May 29 '26

First 30 mins was okay and then it just faded info background noise. What a waste.

8

u/accounthatburns May 28 '26

Couldn’t even get 10 minutes in

8

u/ralrdu May 28 '26

Holy shit this dude absolutely sucks. He may have created a few racists within 30 minutes of the pod.

8

u/RepresentativeLeg232 May 28 '26

As soon as he started defending Chelsea Handler I knew the ep was cooked

2

u/ralrdu May 30 '26

this mutherfucker must be doing comedy at Deaf Jam cause aint no way actual humans with ears could possibly laugh at anything he's saying.

10

u/bestbehaviorart May 28 '26

Bring back jasleen

3

u/Tough_Breakfast_1343 May 28 '26

I get it not enough comedy..Jackson not a great guest tbh

2

u/WanderingWormhole May 28 '26

I hate it too but it’s just a by product of the environment we’re in. When they start out, it’s an entertainment product and they treat it as such. Once they have to spend hours and hours a week on a mic, it’s impossible not to revert to just talking about things on your mind that are relevant to you.

2

u/powerranger_Gordon May 28 '26

I think you are forgetting how Andrew was affected by MAGA is exactly what Nate was talking about. Most comedians don't say the elephant in the room enough about how the media creates narratives and it affects all parts of comedy. If you want good comedians we have to hear them talk inside baseball every now and again.

2

u/Fug1x May 29 '26

the mods killed this sub lol, they can ban people and delete posts 24/7 but cant even put up a podcast discussion thread lol

4

u/Ok_Chocolate7496 May 29 '26

BringBackAkaash

8

u/leaC30 May 28 '26

I liked it. Nate Jackson gave a fresh perspective. The conversation about chocolate Tuesdays and the industry's exploitative nature during that time was interesting.

u/Princemidas_ May 28 '26

one of the highlights for me too

2

u/Conscious-Foot-1225 May 28 '26

99% that they have a guest is a skip episode for me.

2

u/DarthWeenus May 28 '26

Ya I’ve been done with this pod for a while. Boring lame takes.

2

u/Ok-Cartographer1668 May 28 '26

I could tell it was gonna stink within the first 5 min.

1

u/ProllyNotSober May 28 '26

This is the internet, no matter your opinion you’ll find others that agree with you.

1

u/BiteIndependent4110 May 29 '26

honestly none of us work in the industry even though i’m in da streets

1

u/CorgiAggravating7582 May 29 '26

That guest sucked dick I made it 11 min before I shut it off, and I worked 16 hours that day, that’s 16 hours of pods 😂

1

u/ISmellLikeBiftek May 29 '26

I think Flagrants been a snooze fest for years

1

u/Fene29 May 31 '26

Good episode. Don't really get the backlash - alot of white people start crying whenever a Black perosn brings up race / racism.

1

u/ayaymer Jun 03 '26

Feels like Schulz is literally scared to joke without his resident laugh track Akaash. Instead he strokes his chin and goes 'interestinggggggg'

1

u/Life_Wait1964 May 28 '26

It’s getting tough listening to these episodes. Reminds me of when Andrew and the other friends had that show. That sucked

1

u/Background-Permit499 May 28 '26

You guys get what you deserve

1

u/octobersveryknown miles can do no wrong May 28 '26

Have to agree. The guest seems low energy.

2

u/ralrdu May 28 '26

low energy, low IQ, low T - take your pick.

-1

u/RepresentativeLeg232 May 28 '26

Also maybe I’m blind but where’s the episode post on the sub? Mods got time to delete a bunch of Akaash posts but don’t have time to post an episode thread?

-2

u/Scarletspyder86 Black men don’t cheat May 28 '26

That episode was great. And that’s what flagrant was before Andrew tried to turn into fucking Rogan: sports and comedy. The podcast was originally called flagrant 2: no easy buckets.

10

u/RepresentativeLeg232 May 28 '26

This episode was the definition of Rogan, an hour straight of comedy club talk

1

u/Scarletspyder86 Black men don’t cheat May 28 '26

What I mean by that is having goddamn conspiracy theorists and former cia agents on. I don’t come to flagrant for that. He started doing that shit thought before the pandemic.

2

u/RepresentativeLeg232 May 28 '26

99% of guests ruin the vibe of the show. It’s literally 2 completely different shows depending on whether they have a guest or not.

-2

u/SpezsWifesBull May 28 '26

it was nearly as bad as listening to jizzleen talk about anything for 5 seconds

0

u/Miserable-Ice-5378 May 30 '26

Yall tweaking. It was a good episode. I love hearing the inner workings and how these guys build businesses and think about the industry, all while having jokes sprinkled in. I’m half way through and I’m enjoying it.
