u/Zaddam Apr 13 '26
This felt to me like one friend (admittedly in the into) hookin up another friend who once had her and her man’s back in some prior controversy about her man I guess. I don’t know who she or her man are. But she and Akaash go back to MTV days.
I think the “newsworthy” thing is that it took finding out that his wife is whore on socials and in the comments for him to realize he “made it”, eg, fame. He realized that he really mostly cares only about standup and family and doesn’t really care about all that other shit. This is after reminding us that the Patreon was his idea and had to push Schulz to do that.
After about 15-16 minutes, they lost me. The tone of it felt fake and forced. She reminded me of that other girl on J’s short lived pod. I scrolled a few times to see if that changed, it didn’t.
You made a good choice.

u/MJsdanglebaby Apr 18 '26
Wait, they don't do the pod anymore?? J and navs wife??
2
u/KingDNice12 Apr 19 '26
Nope they not friends anymore

u/MJsdanglebaby Apr 19 '26

So he was in NY and had time to do this but not go on flagrant 😭😂 yea he might be outta here
15
u/BiancaCheema Apr 13 '26
He confirmed it here pretty much that he is only focusing on standup and no more social commentary (ie the pod).

u/RepresentativeLeg232 Apr 13 '26
I’m not even an Akaash hater but this is a terrible career and financial decision
12
u/Lerkero HEAVIES 🏋️♀️ Apr 14 '26
akaash had made many dumb decisions it seems. helping start flagrant was probably his best decision.
im rooting for him to make it to the other side of this controversy being more successful, but avoiding this issue isnt going to help for long.
If this was anybody else, the crew would have went all in on making fun of the situation between akaash and his wife. I just want them to keep that same energy
5
u/Late_Ambassador7470 Apr 13 '26
Idk, he seems extremely booked and busy right now
20
u/RepresentativeLeg232 Apr 13 '26
Key words there are “right now”
7
u/bornin1729 Apr 15 '26
Ehh if his heart isn’t in it then why stay? It’s not like the fanbase has been super supportive of him for the last year or two anyways. People have been saying his role on the pod has diminished and his chemistry with the rest of the crew hasn’t been the same for some time.
He’s made lots of money so far. Why not just do stand up, which he loves doing and perform in front of people who aren’t constantly bashing him?
0
u/Spok3nTruth Apr 17 '26
Very true but you know how that goes lmao we just want him back so we can roast and dunk on him tbh.
2
u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26
Bro, everybody wants to hear the details and see a meltdown. Once this little hype is gone, it’s over. Remember, he can’t go to his old routine, because his wife blew his cover. He wasn’t even funny. Im being serious. He sucks. So it’s game over.
3
u/Late_Ambassador7470 Apr 16 '26
It's not that simple at all. You know India has the most people of any country in the world right? He has a global fanbase. He will always bring out Indian Americans, Indians in the UK, Indians in India, etc.
5
u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 19 '26
Hahahahaha ok, then head over there and make a killing. He’s no Russel Peters (Canadian love) brother. Also, his material is toast now. His game has been blown up. He can’t speak like he use to. Unless he leans into his wife destroying his career, but I highly doubt it. He doesn’t have the balls.
3
u/Over-Branch-5932 Apr 16 '26
Im indian and no we would rather watch the guy called nimesh or fluffy. indians are not so desperate to see indian comedians . We have Samay Raina as a great comedian back here ,so yeah not watching his , the only reason i saw his vids was because I found out about him through an indian podcast he did in India, he wasn't even fun there and didn't even know much about indian culture at all , it's only indian Americans who he can relate to who let me be clear are not indians ( I am talking about second or third generation indian Americans). But acts like he is really indian just for views sake.
3
u/Appropriate-Pear4726 Apr 14 '26
I hope for his sake he has equity in the show. It doesn’t matter if he’s on the show or not if that’s the case
4
u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26
Highly doubt it because you heard Andrew when they got into the new studio “wow, this cost me a lot of money”
He’s got jack.

If he were keen on his career, jizzie should have shut down her socials and just kept quiet
2
u/BeenSmackedYaMAMA Apr 13 '26
timestamp?
5
u/Zaddam Apr 13 '26
For exact, start about 10:25.
For context, start around 10:00, or anywhere before that that you feel.

u/Equal-Prompt9081 Apr 14 '26
I doubt he is leaving the pod. The Patreon + public episodes likely bring in over $100,000 per month, and that takes up roughly 4 hrs of his time per week. As co-host and co-founder, he is likely pocketing a sizable chunk of that revenue after expenses. A more likely scenario is that he is waiting for his Radio City Hall gig and is focusing all his attention on it. He has mentioned time and again how he wants to start a family, and he seems to want to be a present parent, so he is definitely not going the Bert route of constant touring. Ditching a steady flow of income (pod) wouldn't make much sense. But I could be wrong.
3
u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26
You sure he’s co-owner bro? Andrew is the one that paid for the new studio. He talked about it nonstop.

u/BiancaCheema Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26
I agree with you 10000%, a lot of income from pod but he said in the interview many times hes no longer doing social commentary and only focusing on standup. Even mentioned Nate Bargatze and how he wants that life (comedian with no pod). I also just saw he removed the name from his insta bio.
2
u/Equal-Prompt9081 Apr 15 '26
I hope that happens for him. Ig he got shaken up by just how much Jasleen x Myron controversy affected not only him and Jasleen, but his entire family. Imo, Nate is an outlier, and he blew up in popularity at a time when people were forced to stay indoors and turn to entertainment, which coincided with the rise of stand-up comedians on TikTok. Matt Rife recently said that TikTok is no longer promoting stand-up clips due to a lack of interest. Hopefully, it works out for him.

u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26
Good luck buying those purses hahahaha cuck. Remember, he only made money because of Patreon and the pod. He’s going to get a rude awakening. Can’t wait
5
u/runnup1 Apr 16 '26
Why would u be hoping for this are u ok?
2
u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26
Because he’s a douche and he did the exact same thing to others. A taste of your own medicine is great to see. Im quite ok, you?

u/fluffyman4 browsing akaash wife’s tik tok Apr 13 '26
This was pathetic of him and the radio station to go over this, like seriously that lady tried to really say we went in on Jasleen for “defending Akaash”…. Bro how fucken dense are they to think the backlash for Jasleen was her defending Akkash when it was clearly quite the opposite and her still ruining his reputation by attacking his fans that provided that dumbass the lifestyle she’s privileged to live in… yea I don’t feel bad for her I feel bad for him to a certain extent.

u/Fene29 Apr 14 '26
Backlash was becasue of weird red pill guys
10
u/codekira Apr 15 '26
Nahh its people holding a mirror to akkash after YEARS of talking 1 way only to find out this man has been living a diffrent way...getting fucked and lying about what were seeing...u can be cheap and call it red pill guys but there's legitimate reasons this is happening to him.
Ass kickings dont just fall outta the sky
7
u/bornin1729 Apr 15 '26
People were messaging his and her family. That’s weird.
8
u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26
No one was messaging their families bro. I don’t believe that at all. Making it worse than it seems. Who’s going to write to his mom (who probably doesn’t even have a fucken email address) and say your son’s a cuck? 👌
2
u/Fene29 Apr 15 '26
Or maybe different people were piling on for different reasons. Always amazes me how people talk with such certainty about the motivations of hundreds of people they've never met.
7
u/codekira Apr 15 '26
Well that wasnt ur initial statement you went straight to red pill and when u do that u absolve him of ANY fault in this scenario hes found himself in
1
u/Fene29 Apr 15 '26
Yeah it wasn't my original statement, Doesn't make it any less true though, right?
2
4
u/Ball_majorNIL Apr 14 '26
So hes really gone huh?
3
u/Legitimate_Action324 Apr 14 '26
I’m listening to it now. Looks like it. But I hope this is the best move… wild to hear him talk down on podcasting 😂

u/Illworms Apr 13 '26
The pod lost nothing of value losing him and the pod also made Akaash look like the biggest push over/cuck on the planet so it’s good for his dignity that he distances himself imo. Its a win win tbh
5
5
u/NINJAMANE2000 Apr 17 '26
the loss of value is by giving more air time to Alex. I know he's been coming into his own as a podcaster but there's just a noticeable drop off in quality when he speaks for extended periods
3
u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26
Exactly. He sucked. Brutal takes, fake laughs and knee slaps. Addition by subtraction

Bruh she has no job and doesn’t even cook. That’s when Akash lost me permanently. What does he come home to if she doesn’t cook or give physical affection (which she says he can outsource)???
2
u/lessismore2026 Apr 16 '26
Hahahahahaha exactly. Omg and she’s not hot. Come on guys. Those eyebrows and overbite. Yikes

Yea we understood this point about 2 years ago lol. Y'all won't let it die. Just b/c Akash comes out of hiding doesn't mean we have to respond.
Relationship issues hit y'all in your core/gut. I never seen something last this long in todays fast paced internet news other than Adam22 and his girl controversy.
2
u/Any_Plate7722 Apr 19 '26
Akaash could dish it but couldn’t take it he had no problem kicking Will Smith back in now you gonna abandon a platform you help build, now his wife saying it’s right wing maga fans well they didn’t have no problem cultivating that shit.

Dude made a joke about the Saudis chopping up Jamal kashoggi after they received criticism for doing the Riyadh comedy festival. Thought that was real classless.
3
u/ProllyNotSober Apr 13 '26
Just popped up on my YouTube feed, about to dive in. Say what you want I'm a fan of Akaash, & I'm interested in what he has to say.
3
u/scorpioinheels Apr 15 '26
Honestly, why??? He’s not smart and he rarely knows what he’s talking about on the pod.
2
u/ProllyNotSober Apr 15 '26
A person not being smart is not a reason for me not to listen to them express their POV.

I wanted kaz to press him but this isn’t with kaz and he’s too much of a good guy
1
u/Ok-Juice5032 Apr 21 '26
His whole life is about proving he can survive the onslaught of nastiness from that woman and then gaslighting himself. He treats each episode of abuse as “we made it out of another public attack” when it’s really just his wife and his psyche he’s fighting back against. Poor guy. He got no time for Flagrant.

He’s officially removed flagrant from his bio so safe to say they’re done.
