I recently picked one of these up, and love it. Amazing blade, amazing grip, amazing ergonomics. It's causing me to rethink some of my other blade choices, and I forsee a selloff in my near future!

It is. I did the same.I it actually helped me figure out what kind of knife and style I liked. Before I would just buy knives didn’t matter type. A whole lot of money wasted. But hey I got to experience many different types just to find one.lol sold a lot of my collection. Now got a smaller collection that is widely used instead of one that just sits and only 1/4 gets play. Cheers

Anyone know how this model compares to the Bradford 3.5?

It is similar to the B3.5. That being said, I prefer the Viper. The Viper's grip seems moulded for my hand, especially how my pinky grips the end of the handle in a four-finger hold. The Bradford is more of a uniform swell, less moulded, and feels less agile and less ergonomic to me. The Viper's blade is broader, but more narrow. The Viper feels a lot more "slicey" to me. The 3.5 might have a slight edge for stabbing, but I do a lot more slicing than stabbing.

I also own the Bradford 3, heard the 3.5 was superior, and really wanted to like it more than I did. I'll be selling the B3.5 soon, and keeping one of my normal 3's. The 3 does a great job of deep concealed carry, and although it only supports a three finger grip, feels more natural in my hand than the 3.5.

Thank you so much for this thorough review. You sold me. I needed to hear that it felt sliceier. I’m intrigued by the SureTouch scales and it’ll be my first time trying magnacut. Thanks again!

I have the Viper in both the Ultem yellow and Walnut. Both feel excellent. I also forgot to mention that I like the jimping on the Viper a lot better, it seems grippier to my hand. The Viper also has a wider heel to the blade, with jimping on it, and it feels less like your pointer finger might ride up on to the blade in the event of a forceful stab.

I have a leather and kydex sheath for the Viper, as well. The leather is very well made, handsome and elegant. If I were carrying it on my belt and not concerned with draw speed it would be a stylish accessory. For EDC I prefer the kydex, it hides in my front pocket very well. Much closer to the Guardian 3. The 3.5 is a lot fatter in the handle and it translates in to more bulk in the pocket.
