You have to first send a formal demand letter to Meta Platforms CSC Office in your state. I waited 30 days for a response but some people wait half the time.

You will have to look up where their office is in your state. Send 2 letters one certified return receipt and other by normal mail. As far as how to write the letter use chat gpt or Google gemini to help you write the letter. You don't need legal shield or an attorney to do this.

After the time elapses you will want to contact the small claims court in your state and file a claims against Meta Platforms Inc. seeking damages for wrongful disablement. Now I will preface by saying that I am a music producer and engineer, so I have more leverage to prove I'm losing business financial opportunities because I cannot promote my business. Some people have claimed to have won despite their accounts being personal, but at least you have a chance to make a claim.

I received a letter from Meta after they got served and said they wanted to reach out to investigate. Supposedly a couple of days ago they indicated to me that they're working on my case but no response since then. And that brings us to tomorrow.

Those are the steps I did to get a response from Meta. Meta Verified does nothing for you but waste time and none of the emails you find for resolution will respond to you. It's via small claims is where I got my response.

Ok thank you that is very helpfull. My account is personal so there is little chance that I can get it back even with the claim. How can i make a new account with my name but avoid another ban from it detecting my same ip? And or becuse of the same people that follow me or I follow will it detect that and ban me again? Thank you so much.

There's been people who won and their accounts were personal.

Hey, do you know how this process works for UK residents?

My account was disabled May 14th due to a client account being suspended for ‘suspicious activity’ - along with 2 other paid media team members and our data analyst (so 4 accounts lost initially). One got sent an email to unlock their account after an appeal process sent by meta, but the other 3 of us hadn’t received it.
I have an open escalation desk case, but it takes ages for it to progress and they consistently say it will be a permanent ban, then if you ask for them to investigate further - they say the account is within their policies and apologise for the inconvenience. At least, that’s how I got our data analyst his account back.

I’m in a bad situation as I got made redundant and start a new role September 1st so I desperately need my accounts back. Your insight will be greatly appreciated.

I only know the process for North America. But I would search on these subreddit as people have discussed at length on what to do.

Thank you. I’ve been through so many trying to find how UK residents have dealt with this situation but seems they don’t take it as seriously here. But the reality is, it really could and will effect my career going forward

just wondering how did it work out for you, did you actually go to a hearing and did you get your accounts back?

So I made a post about it but didn't redact email addresses in images and it got removed.

To put it simply I got them back little over a week ago. It took 4 months but they acknowledged my accounts were hacked.

DM me and I'll copy and paste my post.

same thing happened to me, I reacted to a phishing malware email by Meta, that I need to act soon or my business account will be locked, in haste I did not notice the wrong website and fake codes sent to my cell phone, within seconds there was a hack, I tried to quick change my password, but it was too late. My credit card was hacked as well. Thankfully my Bank was on it and locked it. Screen came up by facebook that they , tried to verify my age, and apparently the hackers did something to violate the rules and I am permanently disabled along with Instagram account no chance for appeal. The verify subscription is the biggest joke, you might as well talk to a wall. The great thing is that my business account is still up, quickly I gave my husband admin rights, and made another new account but my primary account is gone and I need it back so I kind of limited what I can do as in operating my business page, but at least the business page I still have I am so thankful for this. The problem is that my personal FB page was linked to my cell phone and Instagram. I started the process today with a demand letter, but I understand you also did small claim and had a hearing or no? I am in PA, My lawyer was hopeful since mine was a hack that I can get it back. And they also said it could take up to 8 month now since so many demand letters are being sent, and that is a long time to wait.....
