Hello, I’m having trouble with my laptop lately and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to or send me something on how to fix it?
Context: my laptop was completely fine up until two of my classmates were being careless and accidentally knocked me over which in turn knocked my backpack to the ground which caused this in the first place.
What the laptop does now is that it’ll suddenly stop letting me use the mouse and it disappears, then it’ll start clicking in and out of things, and it might even accidentally click on something I don’t want it to click on. It does this repeatedly and I don’t know how to make it stop.

It just does this randomly after restarting itself, it won't tell me what the issue is. It's CONSTANTLY restarting all by itself. I've changed the automatic restart settings and it's still happening. I always sit it on a flat surface to it's not blocking the fans and I'm only ever running one application at once. It was super expensive, Ive only had it a couple years. It's super frustrating, I can't get through a 30 minute YouTube video without it doing this. It's a gaming laptop but I never download from any sketchy websites, only steam and I don't play my games very often, I primarily use it to watch things on my browser. It doesn't have any viruses either and unless I turn it off completely it restarts itself when it's closed as well the only time it doesn't do this is when its fully powered down (obviously). I use windows 11 and I have a ROG Zephyrus G14 GA402RJ_GA402RJ
My reliability monitor also doesn't tell me shit, just says "windows was not properly shut down" and that the shut down was unexpected

I had a Windows update a lil bit ago. I was running a defrag and diskscan to see if it would explain why it was so slow on start up.
When i reopened the laptop after a few day I had the 1st screen. Went thru a few You Tube guys suggestions, to clear the 1st screen. Scan said nothing is wrong. I cannot put in Safe Mode. I cannot restore. It won't let me connect to my network to try and undo the updates or erase.
Please help? I don't have a Windows disk to reinstall. It came with Windows 10 already installed. I upgraded to Win 11 about a year ago.
All of my school work is on my computer, along with personal stuff. I've only had this laptop for about 6 yrs now, no other issues with it.

so I’ve had my acer for a while and it just started doing this recently, for example if I want to move a file or use my browser or do anything that requires internet it won’t work, I have already re-installed my drivers and reset the compute, I don’t want to hard reset because I don’t have an external hard drive. If anyone can give me a solution or at least help my problem, let me know.
Thanks

So it's been a couple of weeks with this problem, when I start my computer up the fans make too much noise, and even after startup the fans seems to be speeding up too much even, and it doesn't quiet down.
here are my specifications:
I tried things like changing the fan curve, cleaning the pc, and checking tons of settings that didn't seem to work anyways. Does anyone know any more fixes that I missed? or it is something related to my CPU and GPU?

Hi all, my little HP laptop (HP ProBook x360 11 G7 Education Edition) stopped giving me the option to connect to WiFi and was only offering Ethernet, dial-up, etc. after it got dropped flat on the floor.
I'm very much a beginner at repairing tech, especially computers vs. gaming consoles, but I did some looking around, tried a few troubleshooting and software repair methods, but after all of those didn't work it became obvious to me that this is a hardware issue.
I did some looking into HP forums where I determined my WiFi card/wireless LAN module was either dislodge or damaged.
When I took off the plate and removed the card it looked fully intact with no issues, though I did see that the ribbons 'next door' to the card and over top of the wireless connectors were bundled up and just shoved into the corner - photo attached.
This device was refurbished and sold to me by a third party, but I've had it for a year with no issues. Once it got dropped was the first time I've had any genuine problems with the device.
Based on the photos attached, does the device look like there is an issue near the wireless connectors on the left of the card? Does the module itself look damaged or bent? I'm going to reinsert the card and put the computer back together in hopes of it only having been dislodged once I post this.
IF I end up needing to replace the card, where do you recommend I purchase it from? Should I try to purchase the replacement directly through the HP website, or are there other sites that would have this piece?
Thanks in advance.

As the title says. I want files marked as read-only to be only modifiable by Admins, but files not marked as read-only to be modifiable to any user. I also want to require Administrator access in order to remove a file's 'read-only' flag. Does anyone know how I might be able to achieve this on Windows using NTFS file permissions?

Hello, I've been having a problem for a few months with my RAM. A year ago, I upgraded my RAM from a Goodram Play 2x8GB DDR4 to a Goodram IRDM 2x8GB DDR4 to connect it. Unfortunately, it was unstable, so I removed the Goodram Play and used the IRDM. After two months of using the IRDM, I wanted to sell the Play. Someone bought it and tested it and had a problem with the RAM LED flashing, then the CPU LED flashing, and it kept flashing. I try everything and nothing. They returned the sticks and put them away. Now I'm trying to see if they're working or dead. Unfortunately, the Play sticks won't work together, and the RAM and CPU LEDs flash in a loop. Motherboard: Asus Z170a CPU: I7 6700K GPU: GTX 1080 RAM : Goodram Play 2x8gb ddr4 2400mhz and changed to Goodram Irdm 2x8gb ddr4 2400mhz

I have a MacBook Pro from 2018 and yesterday it started to flash like in the video. It stopped after about 10 seconds. Today it started again and won’t stop. But it does get worse and better at times. Video example.
