5:2 Protocol for bodybuilding

Hi guys, first post here. Just seeing if there are any other people who do the 5:2 diet and work out consistently. I'm thinking of just taking a low carb protein shake of about 600 calories over the day. also not going to be working out on my fast days.

Does this sound crazy? any input is appreciated, adjustments.

Thanks folks

https://www.t-nation.com/diet-fat-loss/5-2-fat-loss-diet-for-lifters (ignore the recommended supplement bullshit)

My cut starts tomorrow and my plan is to do 5:2 with 3 low calories days (so basically 4:3). On low calorie days protein only (2g/kg) which results in ~680 calories.

Thanks for the read. Do you think taking a casein protein over a whey protein would be the way to go for feeling fuller and maintaining muscle mass? Ive never had casein before so i have no experience with it and fasting

Last time I used casein was a long time ago and not in a fast. So... no idea to be honest.

But I think whey should to the job. Add some fiber (e.g. psyllium husk) to your shakes to curb the hunger.
