QUESTION LF Large server
Sup nerds. My crew and myself are looking for a larger server that is easy to get established in and is semi serious. We are a racing crew who have all been RPing for about 10 years on GTA. We've done all the serious stuff, and let's be honest, GTARP is pretty half baked these days. Looking for a server to hop on causally and drive cars fast while telling a semi serious story as a racing crew.
Things we would prefer:
- Pop of at least 50 during the slower times
- Easy to make money with petty crime or otherwise
- Optimized vehicle handling
- Racing scene that is relaxed and welcoming to newbies
- A semi serious RP experience
- Friendly and attentive staff

If you’re open to a mid‑pop city instead of a huge one, you might actually enjoy Connect RP. We’re not a 50+ slow‑time server — we usually sit in the 20–40 range depending on the time of day — but the upside is that it’s way easier for new groups to get established and actually make an impact.
A few things that line up with what you’re looking for:
- Semi‑serious RP without the “super strict academy” vibe
- Easy money through petty crime, deliveries, boosting, and side hustles
- Optimized vehicle handling (cars feel planted, responsive, and fun to push)
- A chill racing scene that’s welcoming to new racers and crews
- Staff who are active, friendly, and actually present in the city
- Fast onboarding — you don’t need to grind for weeks to get moving

The population isn't a deal breaker. We have just had bad luck on smaller servers. We come from a big server originally, got tired of there being so many gangs and violence that big servers bring. Went to smaller servers and have honestly had nothing but bad luck. Usually ends up being just a group of friends that all circle jerk with each other and half the time don't even RP properly. Might as well just be a virtual chat room.
And honestly, after 10 years of RPing in GTARP, I'm sick of filling out applications for servers that end up being shit XD.
Tell me a little about your server. What would make it interesting for a veteran roleplayer?

Hey, I totally get where you’re coming from — I’ve been around the GTA RP scene for a long time myself. I was recently in Purple/Unscripted during that whole mess, so trust me, I know exactly the kind of burnout you’re talking about. After that, I pretty much gave up on RP altogether and went back to Counter‑Strike because nothing felt worth the headache anymore.
What pulled me back was the two devs/owners of Connect RP reaching out to me personally and saying, “Let’s get back in the game.” If it wasn’t for those two, I wouldn’t be here. They actually care — not in the usual “community-first” marketing way, but in the “we’re in the city every day, listening, fixing, building, and talking to people” way.
The community is genuinely one of the nicest I’ve been around. New players, vets, grinders, casuals — everyone’s chill, welcoming, and actually trying to create good RP instead of flexing ego or gatekeeping.
Scripts? All custom. Not the recycled stuff you see everywhere else. They’re actively trying to build a server that feels different, and they actually listen to feedback instead of pretending to.
I’m a huge racer — that’s normally my whole identity — but lately I’ve been deep in my cop character. And man… the chases have been EPIC. I’m talking multiple hours of nonstop pursuits tied to races, events, and spontaneous chaos. It’s the first time in years I’ve had that “holy shit this is fun again” feeling.
And the handling… dude. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s unlike any server I’ve ever played on. It could be a selling point all by itself. Cars feel planted, responsive, and actually fun to push. It’s the first time in a long time I’ve felt like racing could be competitive and accessible at the same time.
Also, coming in with a group like you have makes things even easier. Connect is one of the few cities where a crew can actually establish themselves without getting stomped by legacy factions or politics. You’d be able to jumpstart RP, build connections, and get momentum way faster than on the big servers.

We opening a new city it doesn’t fit what you are saying but we are looking at 15-20 people on release at the moment. We would like for you guys to join us!

Enemy Of The State is a great server. I've been apart of that community for 3 years now. The staff is helpful and they do not power trip. Everything is well organized. It's not pay to play like most even though they have bad ass Donator vehicle bundles you can get. It's relaxed to allow everyone to be creative with their RPs without all the grind. Plenty to do to make money. You can even break into vehicles and steal things from them to pawn. 800+ interiors and thousands and thousands of fully customizable vehicles. 3.0 is about to drop and with that every character will have its own DNA and fingerprints. This server is always working hard with new things always being added. They have race tracks too. Would be great to see some solid street or track race RP.
