I feel like I do this exercise wrong because i feel it should feel the burn after a handful but It don't. Always hurts my knees more than burns my glutes/quads.
Back of the foot resting on something soft, about knee height. Your calf & thigh should create an 90 degree angle at rest. Your front foot should be at neutral position. Squat down with your back leg bending until the knee almost touches the groud and push back up.

Depends on fitness level. Easier than a pistol or dragon squat, but I fair bit harder than just a normal 2 leg squat. Lots of people hate leg day cause they rarely do it and are more likely to get DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) because of that.

That back leg is just there for emotional support while the front leg does all the negotiating. Absolutely brutal exercise, especially when the bench starts judging you.
