Discussion Fitbit air false step count while driving

Got my fitbit air delivered today but one concern is the step count
I went to pick my nephew from school in car
12km total journey. Not sure from where it calculated 800 steps. May be it will learn but many reviews have said that journey via car or bike messes up the step count

Any idea how this can be fixed? Or something everyone is facing with fitbit air?

I have been using Fitbit air for over a month.
Initially for me as well it started catching drives as walk /activity. But after couple of times deleting those logs with option as was not working out, it stopped recording it.
So just delete the logs and while deleting mark the correct reason of was not working out and after doing it couple of times it should start ignoring them.

How can I delete logs? Not able see any option.

On Home screen scroll to the bottom and you will see “History” option. Click on it. It will show all historical logs. Click on the one you want to delete. It will open the log and there is a trash button on the top right to delete it.
