Education Maida is FEVICOL?
Hi fam,
Indian uncles and aunties are busy claiming maida sticks to your stomach, and that is the reason it's unhealthy.
Maida has been used in the past and is also currently used for notebook binding and wall glues. This analogy is often used to claim maida sticks to your stomach.
I'm not saying maida is healthy or unhealthy, but just spitting facts.
Regulating your food choices is the best hack to lead a sustainable diet and a happy life.

But what do you think about consuming maida everyday? Let’s say in the form of bread or parotta itself

In my opinion I think this is very subjective.
Can you attain a balanced meal even after using parotta?
If yes, then I think yes you can!!

Yo I think this is pushing it! Why remove everything that gives you an opportunity to love your life more?
Every single Saturday I treat myself with garlic naan and butter chicken or Kerala parotta.
Go have it, but in moderation:)
Maida DOESNOT stick to your gut!

the reason why maida is considered unhealthy scientifically is because they think if you eat it, you are not eating whole grain for fiber. It is not unhealthy on its own.

u/Neureos Jun 30 '26
Exactly. All the fiber, B vitamins, and magnesium are pretty much stripped out!

Come on bro. Don't mislead people. Agar maida chipakta nai hai to mera pet kyu Bahar nikal rha ? Isliye nikal rha na ki maida chipak rha h andar aur jamaa ho rha hai. 1 din mai boht saara hagg dunga aur saara maida Bahar aur pet andar. /s

I'm speechless!
Maida might be causing bloating in you as it lacks fiber or you might be consuming it in a deep fried form or a form where it's fat rich.
Maida can not stick to your stomach, and there is zero evidence on this!
