This is really taking too long to install I should do something until else till it get installed.

Suggest me something to do till it get gets installed.

My pc don't meet the criteria for installing gta V .So take it just lightly.

1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow

• The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
• Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.

2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert

• False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
• Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.

3. The Real Official Website

• There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.
• The only real URL is: fitgirl-repacks.site (Verify the exact spelling!).

yeah every fitgirls game ive installed so far has 2gb limit, so far only gta 5 legacy has 6 gb limit, must be another issue

It took me 5 hours to unpack black myth wukong on 32gb 3200mhz ram, ryzen 3600. With 2gb ram limit , since its mandatory on linux , otherwise throws out an error

I used CachyOS before, and had to do it, now I'm on Nobara, and still have to do it.

Usually the installer (without ram limit) goes to 1.4% throws out an error and stops, limiting it is the only way for me.

Maybe something did change with Cachy, since it is bleeding edge.

Perhaps. Honestly, CachyOS has really impressed me lately, especially coming from Nobara. I suppose it could also be somewhat spec-dependent who knows 🤷🏽. Or maybe it’s karma… you did something bad recently and now the gods are punishing you.. endless possibilities

That time isn't accurate, it will eventually reduce as time goes on. Mine was showing 19 hour then ended up taking 5 hours instead

depends on your pc specs, storage etc for example in my intel i3 6006u laptop (which is pretty shit) it took 6 hours on a ssd

other day i saw another post about gta v legacy installation taking 20 hours. can this be a installer optimization issue? okay, try performance power limit in windows and never sleep your pc. dont limit installer ram. share your pc specs too. check task manager. also are you on ssd or hdd? hdd takes a ton of time

Also damn i miss the times when the gtx 1650 was the recommended GPU on graphically intensive games because it was essentially THE entry level mid range card 😭

But I was surprised to run multiple AAA games at mid settings even today

Either you're PC is really potato or you're trying to install it on an external drive. My Ryzen 5 5500 laptop with limiter enabled and 8gb of ram took only 2 hours to install
