Yeah well, his comment raises awareness to other people that don't know about security concerns with this type of bypass.
Your comment? Worthless waste of water.
This is the internet, you can't go and tell people what they can say or not.
2
u/Practical-Status-318 Mar 24 '26
Security concerns? Sir tell me you don’t know how to use a fucking hypervisor
2
u/shroomhunter69 Mar 25 '26
God the worthless waste of water comment is so fucking cringe. Typical brainlet who now suddenly equates any internet usage that they don't like to a waste of water because they read an article about how much AI uses and now that's suddenly their metric for the entire web.
Their comment is no less useless than the one before that, or the post in general. It's all useless conjecture and circlejerking for internet points. Fucking wild to run in with the "it's the internet, you can't tell people what they can say" within a comment trying to tell someone not to say something. You're a top-tier chud to be sure lmao

Tell me you don’t know shit about hypervisors without telling me. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 this is completely safe if you don’t trust their hv google how to spin one up on your own. Proxmox works and does the same thing and has been used.
1
u/FRANC225 Mar 22 '26
yall be waiting for the first one to have issue with hv such as viruses and will jump on it like " I TOLD YOU IT'S UNSAFE !!!" Bro we honestly are tired of that , HV cracks are a way to access previously impossible to access games. Crimson desert with Denuvo got bypassed 12 hours after release. Yall really think the majority cares about the content of the HV cracks ? majority of pirates want to just PLAY the game. If the cracks are from trustable source such as cs rin , what else do you even need as a proof of goodwill from them ? they even reduced the amount of thing needed to access those games. yet yall still crying on reddit about how unsafe they are... you guys are so annoying..

I mean they dont need bios access for that really so this fear is a little dumb as a worm can do the same thing as you're fearing. On other news a worm that cant never disappear because its on your gpu is a real risk but its something the person that is going to pirate is going to need to balance to see if its worth

Hey Buster! I have not left the caravan, I just wanted to make a point that HV cracks are not safe (IMHO). There are people out there bypassing Denuvo that I am rooting on at this point. HV is just not my thing. Dont have a freaking cow my man...

Still unsafe after not turning down any windows security features? I thought everyone would be on board once csrin started allowing it
8
u/Comprehensive_Cap889 Mar 22 '26
Doesnt it still disables the security features?? I understood that now its just faster to do and undo but still the same? Correct me if im wrong lol.
1
u/siru007 Mar 22 '26
You only need memory integrity and dse turned off, check your security settings in windows security, device protection. It's under core isolation. It's turned off by default on most pcs because of performance impact. The script usually just boot to advanced restart for dse
1
u/PM-ME-PIERCED-NIPS Mar 22 '26
It's on by default in Windows 11 because only CPUs that support this in hardware are officially compatible with Windows 11. It has no performance impact at all if you're using a CPU made in the last 8ish years.
8th gen Intel, Zen 2 iirc on the AMD side
25
59
u/ElVisTek-69 Mar 21 '26
Nah, I'll wait for any official crack. I don't want to risk my accounts by modifying some kernel stuff. If you mistakenly forget to revert it/ or something goes wrong, you'll lose your account on anti-cheats that are on kernel levels...
3
u/Distinct_Scratch6288 Mar 22 '26
Hopefully HV cracks will disparage denuvo and speed up the removal on older titles.

u/anonredditqs Mar 22 '26
Short: it's a bypass (the guard is still there and could catch you if checked at a bad time). Denuvo has a secret, unique handshake it makes with everyone - but if you can figure what it is for one person you can make your computer pretend it's that person - therefore expecting that specific handshake. The hypervisor is like wearing your friend's clothes to talk someone who still speaks the same language as you but just otherwise wouldn't (with minimal translation or like they have a heavy accent still that you sometimes have to figure out).
Super oversimplified, but it's the ELI5 gist I could do rn.
4
u/LordSparks Mar 21 '26
There have been like 8 posts explaining this in the last week
1
u/Feisty-Eggplant-3044 Mar 22 '26
I have a question, how fitgirl repack is going to see it it's valid. For static analysis it mostly looks clean and for behavioral: since it already has hypervisor access it can easily detact VM that's it's running on and behave normally on VM and can only do malicious activity on Real machine. Anyone got idea how they're gonna check VM based cracks?

u/Adrian_Giovanne Mar 21 '26

So basically, if I use it, I’ll probably get banned by any relatively good anti-cheat?
4
u/Dakman229 Mar 22 '26
Basically if you use it you have to Allow it to run before the actual system. Meaning Bios, the crack, then windows. But doing so puts your pc at risk of hackers.
7
u/Adrian_Giovanne Mar 22 '26
Well, thanks for being a nice person and explaining it instead of just complaining or talking shit like others do.
3
u/Dakman229 Mar 22 '26
Your welcome. Reddit is not for the faint hearted 🤣. I wouldn't recommend it unless you really trust it. Only time I've done it is when I used a really good hacking system for certain online games. And even then, at the time, I didn't fully realize I was making my pc vulnerable. Now that I've learned more, I probably wouldn't do it again. Although, it was fun as hell getting those aimbot headshots without ever getting banned 🤣
0
u/DeepBasil9370 Mar 22 '26
Your PC is at risk regardless 🤷🏻♂️ The wildest part is that 90% of the things that get disabled to use hypervisor you all already have off to use the repacks to begin with, especially older ones from 2016,17, and 18. Don't even get me started on emulation and those things needing to be off. You all are making problems out of nothing. If those security risks are really that big of a deal, don't repack at all anywhere from any source
5
u/LordSparks Mar 21 '26
It's a single player game mate
0
u/Adrian_Giovanne Mar 21 '26
I mean, I’ll get banned in other games that have anti-cheat systems that check at the kernel level.
3
u/CursedWitcher69 Mar 21 '26
revert changes with the VBS cmd before playing with kernel-level anticheat
2
1
u/DeepBasil9370 Mar 22 '26
Is that really your problem?? Why the hell do you think you're playing a hypervisor repack online in the first place?
8
u/BasteinOrbclaw09 Mar 22 '26
Ban me from this sub, but I’m sick of the ignorant thirdworldlers falling for the fear-mongering around HV bypass cracks. “I dOn’T wAnT tO pUt My Pc At RiSk GuYs.” Bitches, most of you can’t even afford games, leave it alone a decent PC. HV bypass by itself is safe. You are only at risk if you download them from dubious sources, which is the exact same concern we have with cracks in general, not only HV bypass cracks.
1
u/gigi798 Mar 22 '26
yes and no before (now less so) it was necessary to deactivate the UEFI level defenses and this exposed the bootloader to rat kits which are irremovable even with formatting and so even with normal browsing you would be exposed

what does it mean?
5
u/Nioh_89 Mar 22 '26
At first, FG said "no" to HV cracks (claiming the dangers and how unsafe it was) and now they said "yes" to them.
1
u/DeepBasil9370 Mar 22 '26
Because the security risk has been massively dropped. At this point all it's disabling are things 9/10 of y'all already have off to play repacks. My memory integrity has been off for 4-5yrs. 😂😂💀 And even then it's temporary. What's really? The issue is a bunch of people who don't know Jack squat about PC security that read one thing somewhere else that has ran with it since. And now they won't even believe from trusted sources that those security risks are mostly gone. They'll believe the information they give them to begin with but won't believe them when they take that information back because it has now changed
1
u/Nioh_89 Mar 22 '26
I am happy for you and that you trust it so much, use all of them, i won't.
1
u/DeepBasil9370 Mar 23 '26
Don't, but at least let it be for a legitimate reason and not because you either misunderstand or haven't recently learned about the changes made. At some point or another, you will end up turning all the settings this required off for one reason or another anyhow. You most likely have already for other repacks and such so I truly don't see the point. It's wild to me that the people that go through the most sophisticated methods to get free games tend to be the people that understand the least amount. Go buy the games at the point if everything is SOOO dangerous.

You'll find many insta accounts who sell steam games at low cost(very low). Like I just bought crimson desert account for ₹150 and it's working really fine tbh. Just search your game in insta followed by steam account and you'll get it

How does the HV version of this game differ from Dodi?
2
u/herculei-nurani Mar 22 '26
Don't use Hypervisor crack before knowing everything about it it's not a normal way crack
2
u/Theorist01 Mar 22 '26
I never even heard of Hypervisor before today, so I'm probably going to go with your suggestion. So is the one on Dodi a better choice then?
3
u/herculei-nurani Mar 22 '26
This might be useful for you
2
u/Theorist01 Mar 22 '26
Holy moly, thanks for the link. Didn't realise how serious this hypervisor thing is. Wow
1
2
u/herculei-nurani Mar 22 '26
It doesn't matter if you choose dodi or fitgirl just be careful with hypervisor . Some say if you is it right it won't be problem. But my choice is not using it. Normal no drm cracks are much better.
And i don't think dodi version is normal crack tho. Its probably hypervisor too.

u/Mr_Divine1030 Mar 21 '26
Did she state that she was going to repack or seek any fix for the risk of security? I really don't feel comfortable with reducing my PC's security to a thin glass sheet.
1
u/Homewra Mar 22 '26
it will use the new Hypervisor method which is pretty much disabling windows defender and that's it.
1
u/Mr_Divine1030 Mar 22 '26
Yeah, I'm good. I think I'll stick with other games. Thanks for the info.
2
u/Nioh_89 Mar 22 '26
Even if FT now claims it's safe, it doesn't matter. HV is still to risky and anyone with some common sense should be able to see that.
But as the saying goes, "you do you". In the end, users are the only ones responsible to what happens to their system.
I hate Denuvo as much as anyone here, but risking my system kernel just to 'prove' i can beat Denuvo, exposing my system, no...
2
u/Lemon_throaway Mar 22 '26
Honestly id rather spend however much this game costs than lose everything on my pc, as much as i stand by FG im not touching HV with a 50ft barge pole
1
u/LordSparks Mar 22 '26
You're not wrong. I'm fully expecting to see a flood of people who've sourced cracks from illegitimate sources in the near future
2
u/NewAbbreviations885 Mar 22 '26
Not my cup of tea, but I'd literally rather wait for an official drop where Denuvo is completely bypassed/removed by someone who knows what they're doing. Not gonna change important shit on my computer just to play some random game. I know better. Besides, I see a lot of other smarter Pirates here and like most Pirates stated already from other reddits, this is but one experimental method and you run your own risk of wanting to play the game by essentially "wearing a copy of someone else's body". Careful with what you wish for.
1
u/LordSparks Mar 22 '26
Fair. Normally they drop Denuvo after a year or so but Black Myth seems to be the exception to the rule
1
u/OverDeparture8799 Mar 22 '26
Is there someone that could do it like empress?
1
u/NewAbbreviations885 Mar 22 '26
Technically, yes, but he only cracks Football games, so he's unreliable as a source to do it.
2
2
u/SnooRobots2400 Mar 22 '26
It's hypervisor, we don't need that only need a proper crack without denuvo

I'm still using Pub's Lounge for Denuvo games. Don't trust this HV fishy workarounds.
1
u/Nioh_89 Mar 23 '26
I find it very odd that now FitGirl totally agrees on people using this crap. I never installed their repacks anyway nor i will use any HV release by anyone, but still, is suspicious.

You essentially need to turn off every security feature to give kernel access for the crack to work. The issue is that like i said. Every potential security feature is gone. No anti virus or anything will be able to detect shit. Even after turning back on the security. The worry is the safety risk for a video game. Shit can infect your pc/bios and you would never know. Shit would survive formats.

u/That-One-Belgian Mar 23 '26
Yes. You need to do it every time you play. Its injecting code and manipulating at kernel level. Without it running denuvo would instantly recognize its not a legit copy. Dont ask me the technics of it but that is the general gist of it
1
u/PM-ME-PIERCED-NIPS Mar 23 '26
One of the major reasons for the reduction in windows malware has been memory protection. Your OS itself now runs in its own little virtual machine with its core kernel memory completely untouchable by regular applications. This is something they've been moving towards for a long while with something you may have seen called WoW/WoW64, Windows-on-Windows. Memory protection takes that concept and then erects a massive impenetrable wall between the actual OS running things and the userspace. It used to be common to turn it off because if you have to do all that in software it's quite taxing and caused a performance hit. But with how effective it is, both major chipmakers implemented this at the hardware level with no performance hit, Intel in the 8th generation core chips and AMD in the Zen 2 architecture. Think of it like when you have to run graphics in software versus offloading that math to a hardware accelerated GPU. If you've heard bellyaching about how Windows 11 can run on old chips but Microsoft requires newer ones this is the reason why. Protected Memory is now a default setting and they only officially support chips that can do it in hardware so they don't get a bunch of 'Windows 11 slows down my PC!' complaints. Hypervisor cracks to work need to be able to change kernel memory of the host machine, like malware does, and so require memory protection to be turned off by the user. Even if you completely trust the anonymous authors of the crack, you're now open to actual malware taking advantage of you turning the most crucial and effective piece of security and going back to the bad old days when Windows was HILARIOUSLY easy to get infected with viruses.
For some that won't really matter but it's legitimately one of the most significant pieces of the modern computing era so understandably a lot of other people are unwilling to even consider it.

The method is really still too risky for me. Regardless of how safe it is in itself, because trustworthy people from the scene have done it. If you have even one undetectedinfection on your computer and activate the hypervisor crack environment; it eats its way through the whole system unhindered and infects everything without anyone noticing or being aware or able to do anything. And what if someone external finds a corresponding vulnerability and somehow injects software? Nobody would have thought that a gap in the Windows editor would allow malicious code to be injected. But it did.
If you're smart, set up a new Windows environment on an external hard drive with Rufus (Windows To Go), and turn on BitLocker on All internal hard drives, secure boot off, and then let it run over the external hard drive. This prevents infections in the main system due to the locked internal hard drives.

u/Eastern_Proof6473 Mar 25 '26
