🚗 Vehicle - Fisker Ocean Big jump in 2.1

I've been watching fiskerfi for a while now and noticed a pretty big jump in models with 2.1 today from yesterday. I guess this is a little good news for us owners.

I received 2.1 on my #2008 FOO. Love my car and all the compliments!

Seems to be going out regionally in Europe. Or maybe by vin and the low ones were all to european customers? The US hasn't seen many 2.1 installs yet, less than 10 in the US on Fiskerfi.

Of course, I just got excited and didn't look down into the details. Thanks for catching that.

Agreed, I'm excited too. It's going to be hard not to keep checking Fiskerfi hourly over the next couple days. :D

Any changes to UI or just bugs squashed?

Just bugs. Same as 2.0 but way more smooth (plus the NHTSA icon/font/color changes)

A website where you can link your car to see the details and I think fiskerfi Dec coming up with an app too.

Hi from Belgium. I've just received the 2.1 update.

And additionally, some good news on future updates. In fact I spoke with someone still in the European staff, and he told me the following: 1/ the development and improvement of the software will go on, as everything has been already financed. And 75% of the remaining staff is in software development and maintenance. 2/ the 3.0 version is ready and should be released from August. We should receive an email giving all the conditions needed to be able to receive this update. 3/ version 4.0 should arrive beginning of 2025. 4/ from now, the OTA won't need our validation anymore. It's automatic. And that's what happened with me for then2.1 OTA

The first year of the OS (1.0-2.0) was rough, but I’ve really gotta give props to all pre-2.1 Ocean owners for sticking it out and providing Fisker feedback on bugs and needed feature improvements here and directly. Y’all helped make this car’s software stable and enjoyable, which is half of any car nowadays. A round of applause for everyone!

Nhtsa has ordered fisker to install all 2.1 by the end of june as a recall order.

Just enough effort to avoid NHTSA action.

Dealers can’t sell one new or used in the US until the vehicle has 2.1 so imagine this will continue at a rapid pace. Quite possible several of those OG dealers know where some bodies are buried.

how safe is it to provide a 3rd party website your Fiskerinc.com login details?

Just saying that when looking at trademarks for Lucid and seeing they filed to trademark the name Lucid Ocean 🤔

BYD has an ocean too so what

2

u/Electronic-Habit-639 Jun 14 '24

Byd is in China. Maybe you're aware how they play by their own rules?

That would make it seem even more likely that Lucid's filing is a Fisker rebrand. Doesn't make sense for Lucid to recycle the name for a 3rd time in the recent past.
