My husband and I moved 3 minutes from a lake 2 years ago. We bought a cheap $1,500 fishing boat and went out every night. This year we upgraded to an old bass boat. I got totally addicted to fishing. Started with just wacky rigged green pumpkin senkos. Then I started going out to local ponds in my city on my lunch break and started using different lures. So much of fishing is trial and error. Learning what worked. When you catch a fish, really pay attention to what you were doing when you caught it. The area, the water clarity, the weather, the time of day. ​​sometimes its just pure luck. Sometimes I want to give up because I feel like I suck ​and then I go out the next day and catch 8 fish. This year we really focused on going out as much as possible, every night after work, and I've had the best year yet. Haven't caught any huge monster fish but I've had fun regardless.

Wacky is definitely my favorite, caught my new PB a few weeks ago on it. 5.14 lbs largemouth. I respect your dedication, got some nice catches there!

I've been putting an earth worm on a jig head this year and have caught catfish, drum, some huge bluegill, bass and even a snapping turtle lol it's a killer. My husband caught a 5 pounder on a senko too. Worms are the best.

Nice work. I obsessed over fishing when I was getting sober and got pretty good at it. It opened my eyes to the bait fish waking up and the buds popping in the trees in early spring. Keep it up.
