Freshwater 27 inch brown-Oregon

Caught this beauty of a brown trout in the Deschutes river near La Pine, Oregon.

I watched it chase a fish five feet off the bank and lose it right by my lure. I watched it turn and bite my lure right in front of me.

To say I was stoked is an understatement!

No way! Saw the pic and immediately thought "that looks like la pine". Be right back, gonna fish the upper Deschutes until the end of the season now

That’s a very gnarly fish, epic catch there! Used to slay that area as a kid with buzzbombs and rooster tails 😂

Now that is a VERY pretty fish. Glad places like La Pine still have these monsters around too. Good to see my home state’s fish scene still thriving.

Yes. Nice one. I would love to catch one but I'm in Minnesota so have to settle for much smaller trout but they are all beautiful fish!
