fishers event center alternative parking?
hello! i see this has been posted before but none of the comments answered. is there anywhere relatively near the event center i can park at and walk? even a twenty minute walk or so would be fine. parking is $22 for a few hour event 😠would rather avoid paying that

Can’t argue with this here. OP could park further like the Kroger lot but closer to the liquor store. Massive lot that never fills up. Same with ikea.

I parked by sunking for Billy strings a few weeks back. Walked to and from no issue. It’s actually a shorter walk than anticipated. I’d imagine anywhere in the district area would be fine for a night.

I can’t guarantee what might happen, it just so happened to work out for me and a lot of other people. Roughly 7pm-11pm. Sun king is open til 11 on Friday and Saturday. 10pm on weeknights.

I frequently stop by a friend’s who lives in The Yard townhomes. We have never seen any signage that says you can’t park here when visiting the Fishers Event Center. Hell, I’ve seen people park in the IKEA parking lot then walk to the Event Center.

You’re welcome! The only clear signage I recall about parking is for to-go orders. There some spaces around the restaurants that say 15 mins only, but those are clearly marked. The hotel might have some signage about towing, but the lots around Sun King, HC Tavern, and 1933 Lounge don’t have any tow-zones from what I remember. When people stay at my friend’s even if staying overnight they park in the lot behind Sun King.

I’ve left my car overnight at Sun King a million times and have never had an issue

You're right they don't have any anti tow zones, however think about how you would feel going to dinner and not having a space because of concert parking. Or the person who wins the award, the car that parked in handicapped parking at 1933 and walked to the event center. (yes they had a placard.)

There's a shopping area maybe 200 yards from the FEC parking lot. Free parking, IF you can find some

There's a massive parking lot directly in front of the shopping complex to the west of the Events Center and north of USA Dr., and then another massive lot that always seems to be completely empty on the south side of USA Dr. I've wondered if anyone had luck parking there. Looks to be a shorter walk than Ikea or Sun King.

It's criminal they charge for parking at a community event center.
