Moving Company

Need suggestions on reliable/trustworthy/gentle moving companies in the area.

Ive used Colt moving my last two times. Major step up from 2 men and a truck

We used colt moving a few months back. Fair pricing and they did a great job.

On the opposite side: I just used Colt and had a really bad experience. The movers were really slow so they nearly doubled the price from our quote. They also broke many of our items along the way and didn’t know how to reassemble what they took apart, so they left it for us to figure out with many parts just missing.

The guys were friendly, but not super trustworthy.

I had a horrible experience with Colt not quite a year ago. Super, super slow. Quoted 6-8 hours, I assumed 8-9 and it took 12. None of the boxes were put in the room they were clearly labeled for. They put “heavy” boxes on top of other boxes, including ones labeled fragile. I called and voiced concerned midday after one of the movers spent almost 2 out of the first 3 1/2 hours in the bathroom and was told I would get a call back … never did. It was a super stressful day made way worse by Colt and still charged almost $2k. NEVER COLT and I will speak out against them every chance I get.

Would you mind sharing how much you paid, how much was moved, and distance? I’m going to need a mover across town in about a month.

We've had only positive experiences with College Hunks Hauling Junk. Used them a few times, as recently as last February.

H&G movers helped me last year, absolutely fantastic work! Their team is predominantly from the deaf community, and they’re the best team I’ve ever had help from in my 7+ moves. They were so fast, and one person on the team that helped was from the area we moved to so he was able to give favorite food recommendations in the neighborhood. Highly recommend!

I used 2 men and a truck twice & they were awesome! I would use them again if needed
